  1. I don't think you can use the stock dip stick as a guide because you said the PO replaced the tube and the stick. You will need to drain the oil and refill with the proper amount and mark the stick.
  2. This sould help I don't know all the details but the NRA supports it's passing. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/conceal ... ouse-bill/
  3. Probably because that's what AL law says. The laws of each state are different, ya know. In my home state, without a carry permit we are only allowed to transport a firearm from the shop to home, from home to a shop to sell it, and from home to a repair shop and then bring it back. Beyond that, I can't even stand in my own front yard with a handgun if I don't have a permit. Can't take it outside of the house. Definitely can't take it to the range or have it in a vehicle -- even if it's not loaded. I was just surprised that Alabama had that strict of a hand gun law, Alabama has reciprocity agreement with NC for concealed carry so I assumed laws would be simmilar. I am however not surprised about what you tell me about Connecticut law. In most (not all) southern states open carry is legal. But back on subject Congrats to Blue88Comanche on his purchase  .
  4. Here is one I used on my 88 4.0 5 Speed. it is the one that goes from the t-case all the way to the speedo no cruse controll. Why will Cherokee cable not work for you? http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp ... fragment-4
  5. I don't live in AL so I don't know the laws but why do you need to wait for a permit to go to the range? Just curious Have Fun,
  6. Yep but I have only put around 3,000 miles on it in the last year and all brakes are new. Also it drains competely empty.
  7. Would the rear slave cylinders allow both sides of the master cylinder drain?
  8. I have had both sides of my brake master cylinder go dry twice. It takes a very long time to go down and I have not found a leak. All four corners are dry and I have followed the lines and no leaks. Can it drain back into the booster? I have seen this happen on older cars but only on the back side of the master cylinder not both sides. Thanks, Steve
  9. I found them at Northern Tool but you have to buy a coplete set. If you don't have an extention to sacrifice you can use an 8 point socket and a piece of key stock, I think the size is 5/16" but you will need to check that. Most all Craftsmen Tool sets came with those 8 point sockets and no one that I know ever had a use for them so you can usualy find someone with a set. Good luck,
  10. I was told these are off a wrangler not sure what year.
  11. If you are looking for a CC gun then pick a gun you will actually carry. If a compact 9mm or 380 is the size that you can conceal easily then thats what I would go with. A .45 is great but if its too hard to conceal and stays at home then thats not a good carry gun. First rule for a gun fight is to have a gun. My CC gun is a Bersa 380cc and I love it you can get one new for around $300 (in my area at least) Its fun to shoot and will still fit in my front pocket (with holster) the biggest negative for 380 is ammo prices cheapest you can find for target ammo is around $17.00 for a box of 50. I have a Ruger P85 9mm that i love but never carry it because its too hard to conceal and I don't like leaving my gun in the truck. Have Fun,
  12. Advance Auto parts has them PN. 03269 $21.99 They do not list them for the Comanche and not for all years of Cherokee. This did fit my 88 with no cruse controll with no problems.
  13. If you go the HO water outlet route be sure to check how far the probe goes into the housing. When I installed a mechanical guage on my truck I used the HO water outlet and used the smaller fitting on the guage and a pipe bushing to space the probe out enough to not bottom out in the housing. I pulled an HO water outlet from the Pull-a-part for about $5.00. I can post a picture tomarrow if you want.
  14. My Rusty's 3" AAL gave me 3" up front and 1" out back it sits level now and looks good in my opinion.
  15. That is with the notch in the front you can't see it with the steering wheel in the way but the last picture shows the notch.
  16. Here you go. If you order them be sure to tell them if you have the notch in the front or head rests.
  17. I have one in my truck and it fits prefect. when I ordered it I talked with a guy at Wet Okole and he had to check to be sure they still had the pattern and they did. They make it to order so it took a couple weeks to ship. I will get a picture tomarrow.
  18. If you see him again ask how he got the brake lights to work.
  19. 1988 Comanche 2008 HD Roadglide 2008 Honda Accord Average age=10.6
  20. Advance Auto parts PN.03269 $21.99 I put one in my 88 a few months back and it fit fine. This is the one piece no cruse controll that goes from the speedo all the way to the trans or t-case. Its weird they only list it for certain year Cherokees not under any Comanches.
  21. I have a tailgate in OK shape. I'll let it go for $25.00 Its has no rust but it does have a dent above the handle and the handle needs a little work. I can send you some pictures next week if your interested. Its at my house in WV but I can have it here in Charlotte, NC the first of February.
  22. A CV shaft or a shaft with a slip joint?
  23. I added a Rustys 3" lift with rear AAL. I measured ride height before and after and picked up 3" up front and only 1" in the rear. I actualy like it this way it sits level with a slight rake towards the front. I am now thinking about removing the AAL and adding the Chevy drop shackles for the same lift ( or More) and a better ride. What are your thoughts? Thanks, Steve
