well the ins company called and they well take the truck to there holding pen :hmm: either way i told them that the truck comes home to me :brows: . so here are my options if total take the money and buy it back and begin my restoration of the mj with the remainder. looks like the bumper can be taken off and the bed does not touch the cab :jump: we will see in a couple of days. hoping for the best expecting the worst. :dunno:

    heck of a week

got a nice gash in my forehead from the visor(will get a scar from that) :fs2: will go away with time i hope and pinched nerve in my left hand :fs2: so i went to the doctors and she mention that I may have had a concussion from the double impact from the rear busting out the window and the front Toyota highlander. As for the truck right now missed the call from the insurance company and expecting the worst case. :dunno: thanks folks  as for the bumpers mjeff87 & Rebelfish99 i'll keep ya posted and yes i'm interested.

    heck of a week

well first they stole my bank card number :fs1: got that taken care of quickly, then this lady said she was only doing 30 mph and rear ends my truck cause the phone she had to attend to was more important than paying attention to the road :fs1:  :headpop: so i am :fs1: and sweating so i thought until my passenger mention that i was bleeding so I am kinda confused as to what to do and the my daughter calls and tells me not to leave they were on their way. The emergency vehicle arrives and recommends that I should go with them and I said waiting for my daughter as for the pix i have the post them in a few once i get my photobucket account reopen
  6. have a dilemma :hmm: my 96 XJ(4.0/auto) that the daughter drives she calls me and stated that it just didn’t want to start so I go to investigate and the preliminary indications look good (check for spark good) so I got it towed to the house since that’s where my tools are and she started right up my areas under consideration is the fuel delivery? Suspect fuel filter may be clog could be the original :dunno: going to check that out next, any other  could be greatly appreciated
  7. items 1& 3 for me and even pull a float for a while :brows: btw this was the response i got when i tried to cast my vote "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again. Return to the topic last visited" :hmm:
  8. Hopefully you have a bill of sale or re-title in your name :brows: hate to have it running and the person wants it back :hmm: then your :fs2: and lost out BTW nice find
  9. :rotfl2: :agree: x2
  10. :rotf: that should make the this bud's for you mister soda pop hurler comercial :brows:
  11. do you know if this is a short bed or long bed any bumpers and when r you getting back to updating your project :hmm:
  12. the only question i have is the delay box come from the same year. if not they may have little different between them and this may be the source of the issue` :hmm:
  13. well it wasn't as bad as isabel lots of wind & rain. The local folks out in the beach front area may have got the worst with flooding and wind damage. we lost pwr for 12hrs and a few shingle from the roof. I'm very greatful  that it wasn't worst
  14. all those trucks and what do the all have in common there passion for Jeeps
  15. This varies from state to state and company to company. I wrecked an 88 Ranger.. State Farm totalled it out. I bought it back for $300. I kept my original clear title back. In Illinois, over 7 years old and you can get the clean title back. :agree: i should have made my self a bit clear here in virginia we would get a salvage title if it has been considered a loss, as for how long it stays in a salvage status :dunno:
  16. if the damage exceeds the value of the car they will consider a loss and the best that you can get out of it is to buy it back and get a salvage title for it. :brows: the plus side is that if you are still interested you may get it for a really good price or free :dunno: . The header panel on our 96 cherokee was cracked and the hood bent results from a teen age driver. the claims adjuster comments where that the vehicle was a loss :fs1: mom & daughter where totally upset and :headpop: gave me a call to help them out of this mess. the funny part of this is, that four folks came out and gave the car a look over and where foaming from the mouth. maybe had some . when i got there and told them i was taken it back the guys look like i have just taked there best friend away from them :( ,  i repaired the damage for two hundred bucks with jy parts  and the girls where happy got the best dad award for the day.
  17. From what I was able to find there may have been 3 size's a) 15 gal/57 liters B) 18 gal/68 liters c) 23.5 gal/89 liters i haven't check my owner’s manual the first one may have been the early models :dunno: i do believe the other two may have been the norm for short and long beds there are after markets tanks that list a 20 gal/76 liters, as for the diesels I could only speculate that there was no difference in them. The other consideration would be the type of fuel injectors one would have on these butes' either the stock 19 lbs or the ford 19 lbs since the spray pattern on the ford's injectors provide better atomization we could see a better increase in fuel economy.
  18. agreed you have plenty of time to build credit & pay cash for what you want and need :brows:. I would find out why you can not remain on the ins policy :hmm: it could be the fact that you are no longer under his roof and basically on your own. do some research cause its gonna hurt. They do take things into consideration and the benefits don't kick in until your 25 and thats if you have a clean driving history. GL
  19. :hmm: i'm guessing the internals don't just swap by taking the actuator rod and diaphragm and the clip from the (green) 97xj to hold the spring in place and button it up and call it a day. just an  which you may have already tried and it didn't work
  20. thanks for the correction  i'll have to find another old style booster and work it from that point so that i can continue to drive my dd and when i get ready for the swap it will just a plug and play :jump:
  21. :hmm: let me get this straight you are implying that one really does not have to pry open the booster to remove the actuator rod :dunno: that sounds way to easy 8) if that is so  you are the :wrench: guru and sometimes a price is required to get things figured out

    Time to Rant

:hmm: you may be in need of a new cps in the near future :dunno: should the wires got really crushed between the tranny and the engine block good thing you won't have to take the tranny out again
  23. don't come knocking around my door I don’t want to see your shadow no more :rotfl2: he probably has the cd ready for playing for the winner of the bid. Nice car :brows:
  24. you may want to check the cps they have a knack for doing things like that :brows:
