  1. what year is your jeep I didnt think that the type 3 would work but based on your setup they do may have to doo the same for all my jeep now that i have 2XJ and 1MJ which my MJ has been stroked. while the other have been no mods as of yet :brows: may have to do something with the 89 not sure yet
  2. that would be cool if we can capture the results of the performance data between the OME and other injectors and maintain it some where on this site that's if eagle don't mind :brows:
  3. another option for you is to pull a set from the boneyard and had them clean and tested if the cost is less than 100 bucks. If memory serves me right i got the injectors for next to nothing since they were on the fuel rail that a buddy needed and i got the injectors. the cost was lot less it think i was like 6$ per injector. and it was to see if it would worked for me. It was a chance for me and it paid off.
  4. i have to agree with Rokhound its stroker tm can't touch this
  5. here is one site that you and other folks may be interested in www.jeep4.0performance.4mg.com/tech_specs.html Mr. Dino has provided lots of Data for those that have the time. This will be a good start for you in the quest for injector knowledge :brows:
  6. i would look into the torque converter or the tranny filter area i would suspect that the torque has bad in other vechicles but since the tranny is going to be worked on that where i would look
  7. I have found, that, my jeep's socket on the RS turn signal was suspect. your issue may be due to a bad/broken ground or not making contact with the light bulb. check for ground issue first then see if the light bulb is making contact. a plus for you would be if you have any eletronic techy friends that have some tools that help isolating this issues. :brows:
  8. hey that the one  if you have the right hook up and some  you too can do what bruce has done. the link that sinnaevd has provided is very good provides great detail the research has been done for you all you have to do is find the time :redX: good luck
  9. hey rok i have posted your requsted on this site here http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/strokers u may wanto look at this from time to time
  10. you may want to do a bit more research first there are some that have built a 4.5l stroker with the bare minimum that was required to build a stroker also there is a jeep stroker site on the yahoo side of things. I got mine from AP before they disappeared. BTW the price looks good. but you know what they same bout that
  11. have you tried the discountjeepparts web site you sould be able to google i think that is the name for it. give it try
  12. not the easiest but u may want to look at the CPS they have cause many a Jeep not to start
  13. get a laser level and try the calculations again this may satisfy your curiosity. Would agree with the rest of the most likely a 3.55 based on the initial findings. :brows:
  14. go to a pic & pull and find a low mileage jeep motor that may suit your needs i know that they run about 100.00 around here in the beach area just have to find one that fits your needs
  15. based on the information provided it appears that you have and internal clutch bearing & slave setup. Which i was not very happy :headpop: with and that is why i went with an external setup with my jeep. since you have already done the clutch job and tranny twice you may want to look for a metal replacement of the slave clutch bearing combo if we are speaking of the internal setup. There are some on this site that like the internal setup i don't. hope this helps
  16. early 89 model before the change to the ax 15 and the orignal owner so i had to move mine back to the next set of holes and it work for me. I'll try to send pic when i get a chance
  17. hey 500$MJ are you saying that the cross member remain in the same location when swap from ba10 to ax15 :dunno: that didnt happen in my case i had to move the cross member back.
  18. Pete i would like to swap the break booster in my MJ as well. Is the 95yr model when the switched from a single to a dual diaphragm and was this a simple swap would like to know the does and don't or what would you have done to make this a simple task. :brows:
  19. the only draw back to the AX-15 is that it is setup for internal slave which some on this board like and can be found on the pre 94 XJ to 89(was switch yr for the MJ/XJ) I have found them to be :headpop: the external seems to work for me The ba10 the spline count are 21 and the ax-15 is 23 so that won't work for unless you already have the transfer case from the donor which will make things easy. :brows:
  20. hey CW where did you get the armor plate from and how long has it been on the Jeep. I would like to do the same.
  21. not only that pete where did u run the coax line through the firewall or underneath the cab
  22. this sounds similar to the problem i had with my 89 i replaced the egr on the port side of the engine :brows: and it went back to normal not sure if the egr valve was one of the previously recommendations. but its worth a check hope this helps Jeepon
  23. just a question on this how are you going to control this light. I know that the original light was a three position switch and these most likely will have to be controlled from the light switch on the dash. which is cool unless you want to control the individually.
  24. wow that looks great pete did something similar and yours comes close to stock now if i can get a pic of one that's a stock mount or when time permits make one on the eight day. may have to go to the bone yard and see whats out there thanks again comanche fan
  25. Thanks eagle i thought i was clear but i wasn't what i am looking for are pic's of the linkage underneath the floor pan. thanks for your support
