If the ZJ does get parted I want the rear disc setup from it. Or if you know someone swaps in a better axle and that setup is lying around.
-
That is the first one. The other one is pretty much directly below the mount for the Renix ECU (My truck has this mount but it is an HO with an HO ECU)

A manual transmission probably generates less heat than an automatic transmission in general but a manual transmission still generates a fair amount of heat. I believe operating temp of the fluid is somewhere around 75-80C and that heat comes from somewhere =P

You guys are the best! Yeah I think I may SEM in the plastics and use @Gjeeps method of restoring a new to me dash from @jdog
-
I have never had them but I always recommend General tires. Run them on all of my vans and I have heard good things about their A/Ts

I know I saw a post on this but I can't find it again Anyway, I will likely start putting my interior back together in a week or two and I was wondering what you guys are using for making your old plastics look good again? I am a bit wary of products that coat over the plastics (SEM) but if you have had experience let me know.

Being willing to sit on things always brings better deals. Also your other truck is SWEET. -

As far as negotiations. The fact that it is not their bread and butter of vehicles is a plus for you. You know far more about what you are looking at then they do. Might try the "Leave a price and phone number" tactic. If they want it off the lot they will let it go for whatever they have in it. -

$4500 asking seems steep to me. It will need the floorboard frame caps removed, new pans, and the caps re-installed. Engine may be salvageable but it sounds like it may need a fair amount of work. This might be one you let sit and come back after a month or two and offer 2.5-3k. Especially being that it is a 1987 and not a 1991 or 1992 where you get less desirable stuff under the truck. -
Try living in an HOA from the 1970s. I pay $280 a year for the "privilege" of having a notice on my door every so often to mow my lawn.
-
Ripped out most of the carpet, the dash, and started on the hvac box. Very little floorboard rust. Some under the seam sealer and under the clutch master.
-
Finished the top hinge, waiting on a bottom hinge to come in to make sure I got everything on straight. Then reinforcement plates.

Cheap '91 in NC - $3800

Jeez... What a piece... -
Cup Holders... Duh... 97+ swaps aren't what I would want on my truck but I do think they are kind of cool. If I was keeping the 89 I would consider a full 97+ swap.

I wish I had this last night... Although I usually just put a ratcheting wrench on the socket and it works okay... Just bought a long T40 on Amazon last night to make sure I can get the door re-aligned after I finish replacing BOTH hinges and install the brace.

Happened to my roommate. You have to file a police report that it was stolen in order to not pay for it. At least in Texas.

Vista Print will do 25 for $273. At $20 a piece that should cover shipping as well. If we did them at 25 a piece we can donate the excess. I can cover the printing cost up front if someone else wants to deal with stock and shipping. Once enough sell to cover cost we can donate the rest.

It is a sister to mine. Same trim, color, year, drivetrain... Except you got the cooler vinyl. -
89 Pioneer, 4WD, Souix Falls, SD - $17K
Torq_Shep replied to NHMJXJ's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Why is everyone asking so damn much for these things. Like aftermarket radio, poorly done headliner, hole in the dash, 100k miles, etc etc. -
90 Eliminator 5spd, 4WD, Boone, NC - $15K
Torq_Shep replied to NHMJXJ's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
It's nice but it sure as hell is not 15k nice. -
I am DREADING doing my kitchen... Its really really bad though. The 1970s called, they want their kitchen back!

OOOOHHHHH Like a cult?

I mean I would be interested in a shortbed liner. That same yard has a long bed one but no idea what type as it is full to the edge with other body parts.
