  1. That is a very nice list for sure. A few things missing, such as Liberty C8.25, I'm guessing due to the year it was written. Too bad there isn't info on leafs that will lower the XJ/MJ....
  2. Shawshank Redemption. My dad introduced me to that movie at a young enough age that I didn't appreciate it the way I should have. It is one of, if not my favorite movie now. I would love to experience it for the first time again with the understanding of life and the world that I have now. Close contenders would be Apollo 11, Apollo 13, October sky, and The Green Mile. I'm a bit of a space nerd and I love movies with real life lessons in them.
  3. That's a good point, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to sell.
  4. I do like this design and it was one of the contenders. I'm just torn between how much I'll use it and cost. They do have good prices on dies though so I may look into this more.
  5. Like I mentioned in the first post, I've spent months looking into this and pulling the best aspects from other people's diy designs. I'm looking for first hand experience and advice on bending and benders, not help using the Google search bar.
  6. I am looking at putting a roll cage in my Suzuki buggy project and eventually putting one in my 92 MJ. What I've found is that prebuilt cages are expensive and don't fit well, it's expensive to pay someone to build you a cage, and buying a tube bender and dies is stupid expensive. I have been thinking about this off and on for a few months and have finally decided it will be best for me to try and build my own bender from scratch since I don't have the money for the other options. After looking at many ways people have gone about this, I have put together some good aspects from a couple builds I came across, to create a design that will bend up to 90* and as long of a tube as will fit in my shop, that is dirt cheap. It will use a 20 Ton bottle jack from Harbor Freight and I will build a 1.75" die with a 7" radius out of 2" OD x 1.75" ID tube and some steel plates. Using some steel scraps I've got laying around, I'm guessing it will cost around $100-$150 for the bender and die. Anyone ever do something like this before or have any input on the design?
  7. Yeah idk if I'd trust this. $230, says it fits the MJ but also says may require modifications. I just spend $40 and got 2 air dams (fog light and non fog light) for a 90s S10 from Rock Auto that I'm going to modify to work.
  8. Was that a question or a statement? I looked at their website and they don't show anything for a Comanche.
  9. Very nice! We are looking at replacing our Commander with a minivan and are looking at a Honda Odyssey. How do you like yours overall? Aside from the cheap plastic parts.
  10. What I really want to know is where he got the ground effects and grill. They look damn near New and he claims they are from Archer bros. ALL I WANT IS AN AIR DAM!!!!!
  11. Those are awesome! Not too bad of a price for the offbrand ones on Amazon either.
  12. http://www.jeeptruck.com/mjs/sale16/adm542/adm542.html Came across this online. Not sure how new the post is but I haven't seen it before.
  13. Very nice work. Looking forward to more!
  14. Agreed^^^^ I just got home from work and was reasonably comfortable on my 45min drive home, had my hunting coat on over my normal layers of sweatshirts with the heat cranked. It's currently -21*F with a windchill around -54*F. Had my XJ parked next to a dock door at work with the battery wrap and battery maintainer plugged in. It still struggled to start and coolant never got above 170*F according to the gauge. Don't go out unless you have to. It's downright dangerous right now if you aren't properly prepared.

    Nieve?

I wouldn't pay that much for a front bumper. Go to the JY and get one off an XJ for next to nothing. The MJ and XJ front bumpers are the same.

    Nieve?

Offer $50. Say you gave him half off asking so it's only fair. People's defition of "minor" will vary so a picture would be ideal. If the gate does what you want to, grab it. It's not unlike other prices I've seen. Ive rarely seen a tailgate listed for under $100, even with some cosmetic damage.
  17. I'm guessing the same as Pete, too much pressure potentially. Could also back feed one of the pumps if you don't put a check valve in. Could plum the rear one out to the rear bumper and give the tailgaters a nice surprise.
  18. Proportion wise its a swb but the fuel filler door is positioned like a long bed. If you put any other text on it, maybe just "1943-2019" or "Don HOrnbrook 1943-2019" I agree with Strokermjcomanche that less is more in this instance but having his name and dates or even just the dates tells everyone it's a tribute to someone.
  19. Donation sent. Sticker does look awesome. Great work!
  20. Agreed, we can't request tweaks forever. Although the lower cab to bed line doesn't match amymore and I can't stop noticing it..
  21. I recently did this to my 92 (link in my signature, page 2). Went ahead and installed a dual diaphram booster as well since it was apart and I had it on hand. I'd recommend doing it on yours while it's apart because it's a great upgrade. Replace all the lines too if you have the money. The front passenger line isn't as bad as you'd think. I had to replace the fittings on the upper lines as the MJ and later XJ fittings aren't the same size, depending on what year XJ your dist block came from, you may need to replace them anyway. As for removing the lines, use a pair of vise grips. Get a corner of the nut in a groove of the vise grips and it should break loose without too much damage. Use a 19mm open end wrench to hold your dist block so it doesn't twist, this may help get it broke loose.
  22. https://www.arabheritagememorialchapel.com/m/obituaries/Donald-Don-Hornbrook/Memories Click obituary. Otherwise go back to page 5 and it's posted directly to the thread so you don't have to navigate through links.
  23. Agreed. I think it's been brought up before but what about a memorium section to honor lost members? Something that maybe only the mods can edit, that way it doesn't get overcrowded and contains only the info such as links to their build thread, diy write-ups, obituary, life accomplishments such as military service, ect for everyone to easily view.
  24. Love the idea of creating his truck with the logo for the arrangement. Maybe add the topper to be a little more true to his truck? I will be sending a donation tomorrow to help contribute to the club arrangement. Thanks for doing this Pete, Don definitely deserves it.
