First off, I want to thank everyone for their concern and words of encouragement. I can handle physical abuse OK but mind tricks is another matter. I would estimate that I have probably lost about 50% of my mental capacity. Really weird. One minute I can translate Einstein's Theory of Relativity from German to Polish and two seconds later I can't remember how to spell my name, Weird. Also my sexual ability isn't as during. Before the stroke I could sexually satisfy five ladies in less than a hour. Now after the third one I'm through. Done. Can anyone guess which part of the previous paragraph is BS? Got a Dr's appointment 10;30 tomorrow morn. Hopefully will get something accomplished.

86 Amc Comanche Gas Gauge Problem
jimoshel replied to Jacob Ochs's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
As near as I can determine the Low Fuel Warning module has gone bad. Only solution is to replace it. Frankly, not sure it would be worth the trouble but hey, It's your Jeep. -
86 Amc Comanche Gas Gauge Problem

Sounds like the sensing unit for the LFW light has gone bad. A pain in the butt to get to. You'll have to pull the instrument panel so you can get to the plug -
Kind of what I had in mind. Just wanted to see if anyone had a better idea.

Ol Jimbo is p*ssed. Feeling better today so was out working on a '96 XJ, 2.5, AX15. After checking fluids I topped off the power steering pump cylinder with a pint of anti freeze. Caught my mistake immediately but it was to late. So now i have a yucky mess in my steering. My question is can I just keep flushing it out with PS fluid until it's clear, or should I use something to help clean it out? I ran it for a minute B4 I caught it so it's pretty well mixed up. :fs1:

The 2nd, Fri I was working in the yard when I kind of lost it. The neighbor saw me go down, which was a stroke of luck as he works days and usually isn't home that time of day, and he came over. Loaded me up in his car, called the highway patrol and headed for town. When he got to the highway there was a sheriff car with lights flashing waiting for him and made the 14 miles to the hospital in less than 10 minutes. Seems I had a stroke. Only kept me overnight Been light headed and fuzzy brained since. Got a scan and all kinds of tests scheduled in a couple days to see what's going on. Can't be to bad or they wouldn't have sent me home, I think. Well see. I'm scared of hospitals.

Temperature Sensor Question For 2.5L

^^^ What he said. -
Anything can be fixed. Question is whether it's worth it or not. I have repaired gas tanks by welding, brazing, soldering and by using glass. From the pic, it's my opinion that tank is reparable.

Anybody got any suggestions, or good advice on how to repair a cracked bed liner? I'm thinking about getting a regular fiberglass boat repair kit but thought I'd ask first.

At What Point Do You Rebuild Or Replace?

A apple a day will take you 4 months to eat a bushel of 120 apples. -
Rob, and Pat. Really don't know how I feel about reading this. I have a 1994ZJ, wrecked front end and a 1997, no power train. I thought about fixing the '94 using the '97 for parts. Then decided it would be more trouble than it's worth. After reading your tale and seeing the pics I'm back to wanting to fix it. May a swarm of locusts descend upon thee and eat all the buds off your rose bushes. Or maybe after getting yours fixed you two could come out and do mine? NAW! I do have an advantage as mine are sitting side by side and I don't have to go running around the country looking for parts.

One possibility for the smoke. When you pour it into the engine it loosens up gunk and sludge which gets burnt, making smoke. A clean engine won't have any sludge so no smoke.

Personally I like that hole being there. When on a long trip, I don't have to stop at a rest area to take a leak. Biggest problem is making sure I don't drop anything. Don't want anything dragging on the pavement now do we?
