  1. Exactly. Compare VINs. Also could have been a VIN swap. But if it's a 2.8, the 2.8s swapped in, or it's an '86.
  2. Are your guys' laws that much stricter than everyone else's or do you guys just get inspected alot? In OR, it's the same way. 2 mirrors and I think one has to be the rearview on the windshield, but as long as no one knows, it doesn't even matter. It was fun getting pulled over without doors. Awkward fun.
  3. I knew there were some out there!

    Got pics?
  5. It's only truely of use to you if the gearing of the 44 matches that of your front axle. Otherwise you have to regear and it makes using an MJ 44 pointless. Check the gearing!
  6. Dang. I could go for a rolled MJ too. :needpics:
  7. Yup. Good for that, if that's what you need. Doesn't help the hubs to live long and prosper, though. No, not exactly. But they'd survive street use and mild wheeling for a long time. Anything else and a guy should consider something different anyways. D30 wheel bearings aren't exactly awesome. They're a cheap option for the junkyard lover. Hmm, 3.5" you say. 4" has been a little narrow for me.
  8. I know that OR law states that the exhaust must exit behind the rear most passenger seat. But you guys have weird vehicle laws.

  11. Explain? Shims where? Should vibes happen to you, you'll need to put a shim between the leaf packs and axle (leaf perch). It would angle the pinion to the same angle as stock.
  12. That didn't take long. Where are you located?
  13. Looks like a pretty nice rig. Have never built a cage before, but it seems like it'd be a good idea to buld a rear crossmember to help support those rear tubes. Any thoughts?
  14. 8.25. I see claws!
  15. Don't think they changed till '97 on the Cherokees. You will have twist off.
  16. I've got 2.25" lift shackle. My 31s clear fine and my driveline angle hasn't been an issue. 33s would clear, I do believe (I'm in the hunt for them now). That being said, do not do a shackle lift bigger than 2". It's stupid and starts to cause problems.
  17. Do you mean the alternator belt? The alternator shouldn't squeel (sp?). It'd be loud if the bearing's toast though.
  18. I have not and will not view it, but it gives me an idea. Last year, we went to OSU campus and set all the campus computers we could find to have the homepage of a certain meat and a certain spin. Also changed all the laptops that drunk people would let us use. New idea?
  19. That's 10,000 Monopoly, right?
  20. Yeah, Chevies have the suspension set up like this: so a shackle that lowers them is longer than stock. The dimensions are the same as our mounts and leaf widths, and factory Chevy shackles are the same length, so a Chevy drop shackle is a Comanche lift shackle.
  21. That's pretty much where my canister is. IMO, a much better place than behind the bumper.
  22. XJ shackles would normally drop an MJ half of an inch, so a 1-1/2" lift shackle should theoretically lift it 1". Do you need the boomerang? If you don't, I recommend these: http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/mcg33037-d4.html for a 1" or 2" lift depending on the setting you choose.
  23. I'm sorry to hear that you're giving up. And also that you're not close to me. Sounds like it just needs a bit more work...
  24. Isn't this for quicker engine warm up?
