  1. So what is the law?
  2. So force it into position? I had to take the day off from it. Was ready to smash my new arms on the concrete.
  3. Hmm... Going off that fact, my adjustable LCAs won't go short enough with a jam nut on. @#$%.
  4. UUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. Every single time I pull apart a Jeep suspension, it happens. The LCAs will not mount back up. The hole Always gets misaligned. There Must be some simple trick to getting the LCAs back on. Anyone?
  5. Hello! Goodbye
  6. For coilovers, I'd keep an eye on prerunner classifieds. Most of the prerunner guys are running dual-rate c/o, and are constantly upgrading.
  7. I called em to see what I should set my arms at, and those are the numbers I got from the Mr. Dunno.
  8. All I can think of is brake lines, lower control arms, swar bar end links, adjustable tracbar, shocks, coils, spring perches, and u-bolts. MJs have a much longer wheelbase than XJs, so they don't seem to get the vibes as easily.
  9. What I've gathered: Rusty's sends out 16.75" lower control arms with their 5" kit, and 16.25" for their 4" kit, so a little length makes quite a difference. Also, their arms are made of .250 wall DOM. Hardy stuff. How much road time will the truck see? You'll probably want adjustable arms if it sees alot of road time, so that you can use a jam nut to lock them in place for a quiet and more stable ride, that can have it's flex increased on the trail by backing off the nut. Heims are a good route to go for a vehicle that sees more time in the dirt. If you want quality, rebuildable heims, they cost a pretty penny. As for construction, I assume you plan on keeping the stock mounting locations, which means you'll need to fix your arms with a bend to clear the stock LCA mount on the axle. At 5" of lift, the arms will hit this mount while your suspension is not cycling.
  10. Mine comes on with the e-brake. :dunno:
  11. Looking for single or dual rates?
  12. The fruckin engine runs!!!!!!!!! The truck doesn't move yet, but the engine runs. Here are the new problems or quirks: *Truck won't start in Park, but will in Neutral. Think I have to adjust the shift linkage. *Headlights only work on highbeams. Might be bad lamps. *Front blinkers and front running lights don't work, but rear blinkers, rear running lights and rear hazards work. Maybe bad bulbs. *Oil Pressure gauge is a freak. 40 to 80 sparatically. Bad sending unit? *Cargo lamp doesn't turn on, but the light on the button does. Bad bulb again? *B-Pillar lights don't turn on, but lights on the floor do. Maybe bad bulbs again?? *Instrument cluster lights don't turn on. This I think is because a bunch of fuses are missing. *Lots of missing fuses. Didn't look at which ones. I'm beat. This week I'll do the suspension, get the windshield replaced, and register it. This weekend, I'll press the new u-joints in, and DRIVE this mofo!
  13. You want it to sit on a Camaro body? Pretty nicely set-up. I'd like to see a vid of how it runs.
  14. The stock coil is on the right (bottom), and a Ford coil is on the left (top). I'm not sure if they're from an F-1, F-2, or T-Bird, but I tried installing them on a Cherokee and they lifted the Jeep too much to remount the stock LCAs. These coils are Way heavier than the stock coils, and looking at their thickness, they would ride like absolute hell.
  15. I saw a newer Chevy like that at Sears one night (2 AMish). Fckn would suck to be in that position.
  16. Jeez!! Was it being ran with the diff cover rusted through?
  17. My main shopping place is based off of Advanced Auto, and they've got em in stock.
  18. Didn't go to the link, but I know hitch tubing doesn't have a seam.
  19. Alrighty, got it figured out now. Gonna use one side of the oblong canister. The one line I had dangling was off the intake, and I found the jerry rigged part of the heating system that the second line comes from. Thank you for all the help!
  20. So I will need a round one. Do you know what the 2 lines that go to it are? I only have 1 extra vacuum line hanging around right now that I know of.
  21. I haven't heard anything about a new Comanche yet, just lots of pipe dreams. The inhouse competition with the Dodge Durango seems to me like it'd be too much.
  22. '86 2.5 904 207 The PO ripped off the vacuum canister cause it wasn't mounted properly and he was tired of the rattling. He then threw it on the ground and it hasn't been seen since. I hate working with this guy and knowing where my MJs been. Anyways... I got an oval one with 2 vaccum nipples on each end from the JY, and apparently the stock one was like a softball, but I don't know what the connections on it were. What do I need or can I make this oval canister work?
  23. The bigger the better! More details and such.

I thought he was going to put up an animated avitar... Pete said he could right on Cole's post. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2591
  25. I always send people to http://www.rocky-road.com/calculator.html. Put in your stock gearing, stock tire size, and new tire size, and it calculates gears to keep your vehicle performing like it did stock.
