  4. whats the story?
  5. some pictures. from the fire. really the only thing wrong with this whole bed. obviously i'll be repainting it so this doesnt really matter.
  6. i honestly don't even know when. you could still come over and look at while its on the truck though.
  7. the current bed is rust spots/holes all over it. you would have to see it in person to actually gauge whether you want it or not.
  8. yeah he was a good guy. this bed was on a 92 Eliminator 4x4 with a 2" lift, 31s, 4.10s. he said it was perfect and then one day coming home it just started on fire.
  9. update! found a MINT bed on craigslist that i bought. it was repainted 2 years ago and it even has a MINT factory rollbar. the only problem is that the engine caught fire and there is just a really small burn mark on the front pass side corner of the bed. it is black so its getting repainted anyways. picking it up either tomorrow night or tuesday night. this is gonna save a butt load of work and time.
  10. auto for wheeling.
  11. these are only my experiences watching various long arm configurations in operation. 4-link with tracbar: i run this setup. a lot of guys say it will bind, but with good flex joints, it works just fine. i run Johnny Joints and OEM bushings in all 4 arms. Road ride is far better than my old short arms. The huge improvement was out on the trails. it climbs way better, and the range of movement is excellent. 3-link with tracbar: pretty much the same as the 4-link. The only reason that i decided to build a 4-link was just in case one of the upper links fails. Yeah i know the odds of that happening are slim to none, but its just that added security. y-link: havent liked it since day one. it unloads going up severe climbs, which usually results in the front end bouncing under acceleration. it ruins the oem axle bushings in no time flat too.
  12. i say both. but if you HAD to choose, go 92 and never look back.
  13. both my MJ's serve as DDs. the 92 will take over when winter comes around.
  14. Those skids are boat anchors. I use to give those things away. sorry Dave, i had to. looks good though.
