  1. yep. i got a whole day of grinding/blending/smoothing ahead of me tomorrow.
  2. even if you havent taken one apart, they aren't that hard to work on.
  3. :clapping: on a side note, are you keeping the rims?
  4. done minus tube, grinding and paint. weight=70lbs bumper, 50lbs winch so after the tube it should be around 130 lbs total. capped off back side some of my welds. I'm no expert but there is solid penetration and they look pretty decent. all the welds will be smoothed though.
  5. haha, its like exactly how mine was when i got it. those rockers look a tad worse but otherwise its the same. naturally, for any Eliminator purchase, i approve.
  6. keep looking. i don't think there are any metal aftermarket skids. some MJ's came with a factory metal skid though.
  7. grade 5 on the d-ring mounts. grade 8 will be used on the bumper.
  8. yeah like Pat said i got mine of e-ghey. i couldnt find the listing though. its either not made anymore, or they just haven't had a new listing yet. i think it was around the $150 shipped area. very nice quality. my old mani was cracked in 6 different places.
  9. waste of money buying the crap-lok. they are the suck offroad. i got a full detroit and never looked back. up front I'm running the lock-right and have liked it so far. a good cheap locker that is not noticeable on road.
  10. getting close to done.... everything is fully welded, minus the top caps and angle plates. the d-ring mounts are welded and bolted to the bumper mounts just in case a weld fails, there are still 2 grade 5 bolts holding it. self explanatory haha end welded and blended cap angle plate
  11. i got mounts from warrior products and welded them to the axle...
  12. yup, you got the good axle.
  13. too bad you werent on here earlier. i have a nice Mopar SWB tank sitting the shed ready to be installed. anyways, its cool to see another "local" person.
  14. I thought all Comanche Eliminators were SWB... :hmm: thats what i thought for a while too. LWB Eliminators exist
  15. machined the d-ring mounts tonight
  16. long vehicle + tight trails = i'd rather not bash into trees
  17. exactly. unless you stay on the main trail, body damage will be a guarantee. its a good place to go with ATVs, though. I've been there several times and not gotten any body damage. But I don't wheel a long assed MJ either. yeah, you get by in something short. i will never take my MJ there.
  18. exactly. unless you stay on the main trail, body damage will be a guarantee. its a good place to go with ATVs, though.
  19. i don't think so. if anything i would make the rear bumper into an air tank (which i don't see happening anytime soon, if ever.)
  20. control arm bushings?
