  1. i will echo the statement of not being a 97 swap fan, but this one is very well done. i'd love to have that in the garage.
  2. seems to be a discontinued part cause i can't find any info on it. Jaz makes quality equipment. if it were me i would get a slightly larger one though. i also don't see provisions for a sending unit, assuming you would like to monitor fuel level still.
  3. what do the dryer sheets do? just keep it fresh smelling?
  4. was there once, and don't plan on going back. the place is a dump....
  5. I tried to document the front 4 link but can answer any questions you have.
  6. I don't remember offhand but I think the shocks fully extended are 31" long. So I strapped them at about 29.5". The straps stretch a little.
  7. granted i have never ran a different coil, i have had them for 7-ish years and have no complaints. i do mostly rocks. no stuff to hit at speed in the midwest. i have a custom 4 link up front and its always been really stable/predictable. i have never been impressed with a rig that runs radius arms. the unloading characteristics are very unappealing.
  8. if you want to run XJ aftermarket shackles, then yeah that would work. I ran 2" lift Rough Country XJ shackles for years. (6.5" Rustys coils front, SOA and lift shackles rear). i read that as you wanted to use stock XJ shackles. they would bolt in, but as i said they would be too short.
  9. are you on radius arms? i would advise against using an XJ shackle. They are pretty short and you would run the risk of inverting them.
  10. being a die hard brewers fan, it was hard for me to root for them but i was. if my team isnt in it, then i always root for the "new guys" in the playoffs. was hoping for Astros/Cubs world series.
  11. Big sell for us haha.
  12. Mine was new to the house when I bought it. The house has another 2 car garage for the other cars. This is heated with attic above 2 car portion. Single side is tall enough for a lift.
  13. Are the tubes that tie into the bumper removable? Our would you have to cut them off to take the bumpers off?
  14. they are bolted to the frame.
  15. Haven't done more then grease the Johnny joints since I have had them. Very durable in my opinion. Landed on many of rocks. Only reason I didn't buy them again was price.
  16. i will try to. plating the unibody is a much needed thing for me to do. its starting to show some rust so i need to help save it. plus i need to tie my cage in better.
  17. Closer than we are haha. Takes a good 8hrs to get there for us. I have a trip planned with NAXJA for the first weekend in March so it'll be done by then. Never have been a winter wheeler. That's always my down time for repairs and mods.
  18. sadly, no. in the near future, I'm ripping everything off the jeep and plating the unibody. also have some other things planned for the winter. i guess i didnt realize/remember how close-ish you are.
  19. damn, i even did a search for it before i posted. i only searched the pub though....
  20. did anyone know these existed? they don't look OEM but the fit/finish might be close enough for someone doing a restoration. http://stores.zmjeeps.com/bed-side-mj-comanche/
  21. Just a little hill climb from the last wheelin trip. That's all the tired Renix had.
  22. I had 4.10s and 33s (with an auto).....get 4.56s. i would but don't want to stick more money into my axles.
