i found the brush guard off an XJ (no idea on the brand) at a junkyard. I modified that along with the stock front bumper to make that winch bumper. I obviously strengthened everything and it was all tied into the factory tow hook mounts and bumper mounts in the unibody. it worked for what it was, but it didnt offer much protection offroad. plus i wanted to tie into the steering box bolts which my current bumper does.

if you decide to part ways with that MJ, let me know.

had that happen on the trail last time out. i always check lug nuts beforehand, so i know they were tight. later that day, driving down a creek and i hear loud not good noises. look back and see my back tire laying in the water. not sure how they got loose. the other 3 rims were good and tight still.

its different when a person tries to ship vs a company. rockauto, who notoriously charges a lot for shipping, only wants $66 to ship a fender. I'm well aware of what shipping costs are...

you should ideally have them already. 6" is a lot for short arms.

i won't hold anything for anyone (besides close friends). first come first served. seller should have told you way sooner that it was sold, or at the very least saying i got an offer last night and the buyer is coming today to buy it. i can let you know if it falls thru.

august 25th weekend will work for me. they scheduled that for production so that means i won't be able to work.

i always thought flowmaster 40s sounded decent on a 4.0. i run one with no cat and it sounds good at idle. high revs sounds like crap, but so does anything on a 4.0.

i don't drive mine on road much anymore, but i've gotten quite a few offers thru the years. hell, i saw my now current eliminator sitting on the side of a garage for months and it never seemed to move. didnt have a for sale sign though. i figured i would write a note and slip it in the mailbox with my number to see if he was interested in selling. as i was writing the note, the guy came outside so i approaced him. $900 later, i was the owner of an 89 eliminator. never know if you don't ask...

First piece of the puzzle

this most XJ/MJ kits were really only ever installed on an XJ. the MJ gets cab supports that are often in the way of the long arm mounts. i bet what you have will work, it will just need some trimming.
