Someone selling the chrome bumper claims it would fit several different trucks, including a Comanche. Anyone recognize who the manufacture might be? Also, if there might be a front chrome bumper that matches. 62 inches wide.

Have you ever blued a shotgun? Would that give a look you want?

Peripatetic Pete, are you seeing any (many) MJs rolling up and down the road? If you run across any chrome covers for manual door handles in good condition, collect then all. Two sets for me if you can manage. Thanks!

Holy Ship! Thats a good price.

If you are sure that you have not loaded diesel, then you may have something other than (or in addition to) a fueling issue going on. How soon after you filled at the PEMEX station, did the problem start? Within minutes, or an hour or more later? You describe having the problem when you have a load against the engine. How old is your cat converter and muffler? If you were bouncing down dirt roads after leaving the PEMEX station, you might have shaken a rusted out cat converter and muffler so that the rust collasped and blocked exhaust flow. If that happened, that would account for the loss of power, the smells and miss fires. FYI, Petrõleos Mexicanos, PEMEX, is government owned and an important source of revenue for the country. Quality is monitored. It is not likely they contaminated the output.

I live in Virginia Beach, VA, right on the ocean for those that do not know. 100 driving miles from the outer banks of North Carolina known as the OBX. Dorian was not as bad here but gust of 80mph and driven rains brought us power outages, flooding and trees down. Businesses, schools, airports and court systems all closed. Normal workdays were spent at home not knowing how bad the hurricane would be. Many events were postponed. I assume you checked to make sure that your event has not been rescheduled. I can not speak for Charleston in particular but when city water supplies are possibly contaminated, boiling water or bottled water is recomended. Hepatitis A comes from a fecal/oral route. Yep, eating do do at your favorite restaurant in the form of fresh vegatables. But there are many other bacteria, viruses and chemical pollutants also. Use bottled water.

If you added diesel inadvertenty, the results would be just about what you describe. Do you speak Spanish? The English word diesel in Spanish is diesel, gasoil or gasoleo. English gasoline is gasolina. (Tildes not included.) Still have your receipt? Maybe you put gasoil in your tank. Did you get smoke from your exhaust also? If you did put diesel in the tank, run your tank as close to empty as you can for the next few tank fills and the problem should go away. After that you might want to check the fuel filter for trash you may have stirred up that was already in the tank because of running down to empty.

Do you have a pic of the shield you made and installed? Smart

Did you get it running?

Yep, welcome to the color conundrum. Don't forget that 30+ years of fading adds to the confusion. I have a dash from a 94 XJ and happy to have found it. The knee board and the lock on the glove box door is darker than the dash and glove box door itself. Same issue with a different MJ with grey(s) interior. Choices are to paint it all to match and suffer what scratches will look like later, or to find colors that blend and live with it, (which is my choice.)

I won't argue the finer points of a separate thread or not. It would, however, be nice for all junk yard rovers, and for those looking for parts, to know that there are some items that must come only from MJs and not from XJs. As examples ,all tail lights and B pillar interior trim (of any color) should be harvested. Rear window trim gaskets. A slight expansion, but Cruiser54 has seeded an idea that would be helpful. For newbies, it falls into the category of not knowing what you don't know as opposed to knowing what you don't know. Been there. Edited B pillar to B pillar interior trim.

I believe I have what is needed. Most of it is still boxed up and unopened. But you might get whatever will fit in your truck. I had to scrounge CC members (and thanks to all), spend bigger bucks on eBay for harder to find pieces, as well as getting lucky at the P&P

Funneeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are not locked out of the truck? If you are locked out and have manual windows, you are in luck

Dang, I knew we could count on you. I will take a deluxe model with flame thrower and loaded artillery synchronized with the surveillance camera.

Bump. Anyone carry a tool in your jy bag that you made yourself?

Are those cameras powered by small batteries and need to be turned on and off manually? Recently while parked at Home Depot, someone hit my MJ and bent the rear bumper. The store manager said they could not show me their security camera recording unless I filed a police report. Is it practical to connect the video camera to the truck battery and leave it on all the time? And where can I find a bumper with artillery charges built in like in James Bond movies?

MJ used ones are generally not available. XJ used fuse panels are the second best?

Let me see if I have this correct. A baby boy rides in a box with no top in a car also without a top. Meanwhile a young army man, living on the edge, takes the death seat and turns the driving over to someone without much experience. They roll the convertible down to a creek bed and survive to tell about it. Both the baby and the soldier turn out more or less normal.

Ohio must be hard on metal. What was the most miles that you put on a MJ? -

A question borne of curiosity: why do you sell them only to re-acquire them?
