  6. Good luck with the trip. But don't cheers with your beer while making that long drive (could be hazardous)
  7. :rotf: excellent as always jim
  8. Yea Ive thought of that for both directions. It was always let it hang down under the bumper and bend the plate on the ground or above the bumper and not be able to open the tailgate. A friend of mine might have some tubing that will work but he won't be home for about a week so this project is on hold for now. Thanks for all the input.
  9. Ive got rusty's on mine. can't complain about it one bit.
  10. Just ordered 2 of the black coated ones. I think I'm going to go with something like sinkrun's. Just gotta find the steel for it now.
  11. And I just notice that those lights have a nut to tighten on the backside, well I don't have any way of getting to the thread once it's in the bumper. Its square tubing. hmmmm :hmm:
  12. Those are pretty nice but wouldnt you have to drill into the bumper to mount? I was hoping to avoid that. And Mike, have they been a problem with the Po-pos? It looks like they arent the brighest.
  13. Yea I'm kind of curious as to those lights you mention. Pics would be sweet
  14. I like that idea but I don't have a plug for a trailer. Havent really messed with any electrical on the truck yet, don't like that crap.
  15. Any ideas for mounting the rear plate and light for that plate on the rear bumper? I have a nates4x4 bumper, so there are not any mounting places. Id like to not drill into the bumper.
  16. That ice is dangerous. Could tear a hole in the house and/or kill someone if it falls.
  17. I don't see a bind. Get both of them
  18. Well, the storm is gone, and the predictions of 5-8 were a little off. My car had a thin layer of ice on it, but the road was as clear as can be, even with it being in the 20s. Gotta love a job where you can be wrong all the time and still be employed. Why didnt I become a meterologist?
  19. :yeah that:
  20. thats more snow than here in central va. Yesterday they were saying as much as 8 locally and there is nothing but wet ground outside right now. But I do know that down in the New River Valley (Virginia Tech area) they have about 7 now and expected to get a couple more before its over.
  21. don't say that. She'll hear you and get angry.
  22. Mall crawler for sure. But sure is clean and purdy. Id drive it around town as my DD, but not for 16k.
  23. Thats one good lookin truck. Got any other pics? And all the suggestions that've been made so far are all good places to start and not extremely expensive.
  24.  beautiful. I want one.
