  1. I know this has been beaten to death... but what are we putting in the axq5 these days... People say ATF+3 parts store says 75W90 guru's say redline MT grapevine.. penzoil syncromesh?
  2. $100 for a blown engine sounds about right... I got mine for $235... but it only had a bad Fuel pump. ;) Along this line a MJ with a bad drivetrain should be FREE
  3. I'm actually not sure... but they have the same disclaimer for all auto jeeps and the 4.0 or 258...
  4. it will fit, but pe prepared to run into problems with the trans linkage.
  5. I could check my chiltons for you in the morning....
  6. how much did you pay for it?
  7. I would keep a brace bolt in incase you ever have to remove... they are cheap to.. like $40-50? Buy one, copy it, return it ?!?!? or borrow a friends :-D
  8. This is a fairly simple swap. Look for a late model YJ bellhousing 93-95... Personally I actually like the internal slave.. gets it out of the way... I know its a real PITA to change, but gives you a good excuse to do all sorts of other repairs while in there. Knock on wood... I had one last over 5 years without any problem in my YJ. By the time you might find one to swap you might as well have put the internal in so you can drive your Jeep.. they are sot of hard to come by seperate from their tranmisisons. If you are up for a chalange conver your current housing.

    STOLEN!

hope your insurance was up to date.... I know most of us don't carry theft because of the high premiums and relative low cost of out Jeeps.. GOOD LUCK.
  10. I have a great ax15/231 combo 80K
  11. $3,889 is a manual with 31" tires and 179KM (111K miles) thats if I converted everthing right
  12. I have an aw4 from a 88 XJ if your interested... no removed yet so I could snag the wires for you... or heck take the whole drivetrain :)
  13. this isnt the first time I have heard bad things about Rusty's.... Cheap fix is a 1" spacer... but it shouldnt have sagged that quickly... I had a set of RE coils in my ZJ with a V8 and ARB bumper that held the advertised 3.5" lift for 3 years, 60K, NYC driving.
  14. Hey another april 25th... but I'm turing 26 :?
  15. from my experience with XJ's 92-96 HO motors, the harness is one big rats nest of wires that include both body, engine and transmission controll. I would think its a big mess, only to be taken on by the very devoted to thier swap plans. YJ's in comparison have seperate body and engine/trans controll so the swap is simpler... Just my opinion.. go for it were here to help.
  16. get it, run it, break it, UPGRADE :D rinse and repeat

  18. I have more XJ doors than you can imagine
  19. ever since I got my Jeep while driving it the 4WD indicator light will go on and off. If the jeep is in 2wd/4wd the same thing happens.. any ideas?
  20. I think thoes are the UC springs.. either way you will see at least an inch possibly more.
  21. CW... I know your registered in CT also.. what did you put down for the light and gross weight?
  22. my MJ doesnt even have a floor right now, let alone a manual..
  23. I checked in the Jeep, but don't they usually have it on the driver side door? I coulnt find it.
  24. I have a LWB 86 MJ with the I4 For registration I need the Light and Gross weight I tried google and the forum, but didnt come up with much.. any help before 2pm tomorrow when I hit the DMV ..... again
  25. I'm dealing with a wobble right now... its not something to sell a jeep over... they are relativly simple to fix once you pinpoint it and have some time to devote to it... both of which I'm still waiting to do. I have actually been leaning more on the tire blance/SS than any of my front suspention components... I guess cheapest things first
