my "never needs anything" truck needs some attention amazing how many stalls I had today while driving. had to ride the clutch hard in first to get it underway.. and even with that I stalled more times than my wife learning how to drive stick.. hard starts (long cranks) were the result.. parked at office awaiting some interweb diagnostic... could it be the clutch is just shot? of course with the renix, for all I know its a ground issue somewhere. 86 2.5L 4 speed... recent tune up, wire and vac lines cleaned..

just want to follow up on a 4 year old post.. both forum and Google search brings this post up so I figured it would be good to bring it full circle my MJ is a hauler / utility truck so I don't log many hours in it any more.. its actually driven more by friends wanting to borrow a pickup than anything else.. pulled it into the garage this past weekend for some tune up work.. All I can say is the night before I did the service I decided to check all my manifold bolts.. they weren't loose, but they weren't tight.. so for the record.. the tightening of my manifold bolts fixed the erratic idle.. 30 min of "yoga wrenching" and my "issue" I have been putting off was miraculously solved.. moral of the story.. don't UNDEERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A VACCUM LEAK!!!

the $6,995 price tag in 1986 would equate to 15K today a bare bones Nissan frontier today is 18K, Tacoma 21K (was recently doing some fleet purchasing)

Stripped the MJ down for paint and busted every nut and bolt on the flares... I wanted new ones regardless so I guess it didn't really matter.. Who makes some nice units.. Not looking for extended tire coverage.. But if I dot have a choice...

looking for a passenger side window regulator for a 1986 MJ..

regular dino juice... anything else and your throwing money away... its more important that it gets changed than what you put in it... only todays modern engines need full synth oils... Wix filters (or house brands made by WIX) .. all the rest are crap these aren't opinions these are industry facts..

Quick question... On my 86 with the 2.5 L there are the 2 traditional motor mounts and a shock type stabilizer on the front... Is this available in the aftermarket for replacement? Can't seem to find any lookup data for it..
