  4. AMC 20, don't have any pics, but looks like a big circle
  5. Hauling some scrap and all it's damaged body panels.
  6. 97+ front end is complete. I'm really liking the newer look, reminds me off my old XJ. Swap was pretty easy, and i even got my blinkers and side markers to alternate like in the newer XJ's. Open cooling system works great. Also re did the headliner, and put some comanche club swag on.
  7. yes sir, me too
  8. might interest you some viewtopic.php?f=24&t=26026
  9. Its not too high for sure, but crashing is a good way to up grade
  10. Finished the closed to open cooling swap
  11. Its almost done. Snagged my radiator an pieces from the pick n pull, an got it converted over to open cooling. :clapping: It was actually really simple to do, and didn't take long. New puller fan and idler pulley are on, an hood is on. Tomorrow it needs the front end wiring finished, an bolt up the header panel an we should be good to go.
  12. So from what it seems like to me, the whole puller fan assembly just sits on the rod connected to the pulley? There are four bolts holding the fan itself, but nothing holding anything else on. Should i just take off the whole pulley?
  13. here's some picks. I'm referring to the puller fan, and the hood release mechanism on the hood itself.
  14. Currently fixing my damaged front end, and was wondering how to remove the hood release cable where it meets the 2 rods up on the front of the hood. Also, the puller fan. I remove the 4 bolts in the back, an the fan is loose, but not sure how to get the front piece off, the circle shaped thing with grooves in it. Thanks in advance
  15. worked on the 97+ swap
  16. Getting closer to getting it back on the road. Picked up all the front end pieces, hood, fenders, bumper, header panel, an all the assorted little pieces for $120  . Got the fenders on an the bumper is sorta on. Put the header on to see what it will look like. Now just need to fix the cooling system.
  17. i've always bought 2, an that leaves some extra after doing just the headliner
  18. I'm hoping to get a whole XJ to work with, preferably 97+ but that is turning out to be pretty tough
  19. Well made some good progress today. All the bad pieces are off minus the hood. Engine compartment is more or less straightened out, and radiator is out. Now just need to find a parts cherokee, an we'll be in buisness. Sorry no pics yet, worked into the dark
  20. Yep, no one said comanches were high on the list for crash test ratings.
  21. Thats what i kept telling myself, atleast its all front end parts. Only hit him doing about 10 miles an hour, just hit a big chunk o steel
  22. Thanks man, the paint i scratched was on the lift gate itself. It might have even been scrapes not scratches. It was a local companies truck, of which my dad knows the owner very well. Nothings going to come of it. You really had to look to see the scratches on his truck. If only i had my 92 still, woulda made a world of difference :headpop: It needs more than the hood. Needs a fender, radiator, rad support, header, fan, grill and headlight assemblies, and maybe more. I'll find out more as I dig
  23. negative. only have liability, so i'm on my own. couple hundred bucks should do it.
