  1. My springs are the HC 9730 part number which is the 3” lift spring. Tom told me to expect 3.75 at install with a settling to 3 - 3.25” when done.
  2. looks like those were installed backward, or the top leaf was installed the wrong direction. I will be sure to match them up against the originals when I pull them out. I have the bed off the truck right now. Once installed If mine look like that Hell Creek will be buying them back. lol
  3. none of it is installed yet. The truck is painted, interior is in, the engine is rebuilt sitting on a stand and a bunch of parts piled up ready to go. I will be starting the lift install process very soon. I will be sure to post up pictures once the lift is on. I purchased the OME 2.75" lift springs along with JKS ACOS so I can adjust the front lift depending on what the rear leafs give me. This the same process I used when I put the lift on my 2001 XJ and the ACOS came in very handy when I added the Backbone winch mount and Warn 9000 with synthetic rope. I used OME for both front and rear with it and I ended up with 3.5" of total lift after everything settled on the XJ. I am not sure what to expect from the Hell Creek spring set but they seem to get great reviews so I ordered them.
  4. I bought Hell Creek leaf springs and am using Old man emu front springs with JKS adustable coil spacers to put the front right where I want it after I see what I get in the rear.
  5. Rusted out lights. Lol.....very true with theset on my truck. I will spring for the Marchals.
  6. I am going to try and find a new or like new set of the ROL lights. If that doesn't pan out I will install a set of Marchal and call it a day.
  7. found on ebay. these are the exact fog lights that came on my Comanche. Made by ROL
  8. sorry to bring up a year old thread.....I just removed the rusted out factory fogs from my 90 Eliminator. They are the same body size as a Marchal 750 but they are not Marchal lights. They have a square rubber gasket that fits around the bottom bracket of the light at the bumper, which hides all the bolts and the bracket itself. They were the original lights to the truck and the ends were still attached to the factory harness when I removed them. Build sheet from Chrysler lists the factory fog light option as well. Not sure what I have and wanting to replace the rusted out hulks with another set.
  9. sent you a PM 01yellowxj
  10. looks like it is listed again.....with different wheels installed yada yada.......
  11. This one is destined for flipperville. I hope it sells for 30k. Makes everyone elses Comanches worth more. Had I gotten to the seller in northern Ohio a day earlier I would be driving that truck on forest roads in Wyoming right now.....hopefully with a bloody stinky dead elk in the bed.
  12. Old thread.....but in 2009 an idiot ran a red light and totaled the brand new Ford Expedition I was driving, the Dodge pickup he was driving, and did another 10,000 in damage to another truck. Had I not been wearing my seatbelt I probably wouldn’t be typing this. In my career I saw a bunch of folks that were not as lucky as me. It is a simple act that can be the difference between death.....and survival.
  13. This.......I bought every piece I needed from them. Quality stuff, reasonably priced, fits like OEM.
  14. I piece my kits myself. Hell Creek rear spring sets. Old Man Emu front springs. ACOS fronts mandatory for me. Bilstein shocks. I like JKS stuff.
  15. yes this is the same truck. different wheels, same audio system behind the seats. With a new bigger price tag....
  16. Just this week I got my 91"rust free" pioneer back from my body man. I had the same issue on the passenger side floor board. I bought a complete reproduction passenger side floor pan and it worked out well. We still had to cut out all the supporting metal and actually fab some of it for replacement. It was a bunch of work and it was nowhere near as bad as yours. I wanted it to look completely stock from inside and out so that is why I did it that way. My guy is an excellent welder and fab guy and he had over 30 hours in the repair. With the amount of rust you have I would probably look for a complete floor pan somewhere and just cut it all out and start over.
  17. I was looking around and everything I read is that the ball joints from MOOG have gone down in quality? Thanks Where were you reading this? I put in new Moog ball joints in my 2001 XJ a year ago and they are fabulous.
  18. I am putting the interior back into my 90 now. Just made sure there would be no rattle in the future.
  19. the best thing you can do for the truck is drive it. (but not in the snow and salt in New Jersey) letting vehicles sit like that one has is not good for them. Depending on how long it has sat. The truck has 17k miles and is approximately 336 months old so it has averaged about 51 miles per month. If it was driven 12 miles per week (doubtful) it should be just fine. The tires are obviously not original to the truck but I would look closely at them for dry rot. cracking within the tread lines etc. Depending on how the fuel has been maintained you may want to make sure the tank is not rusted on the inside. Since it was Ziebarted when new there shouldn't be any hidden rust issues but I would still lift the carpet and inspect the floorboards just to be sure. As for the engine I would look at the drive belt for cracking/age issues. The truck was supposedly given a complete tune up and "detailing" prior to being listed on Ebay so hopefully any issues found were addressed appropriately.
  20. so very true.
  21. http://cruiser54.com/?p=438 nice info Cruiser.
  22. I just bought a set of these today, completely rebuilt with all new parts and flow tested. 75.00 delivered. I am using these on my 90 MJ as well.
  23. I put these springs on my 01 XJ. I also used JKS ACOS as well. The two components together (with the ACOS bottomed out) gave me exactly 3.25" of lift. The ACOS bottomed out is 1.50" so the springs gave me 1.75". I also used Bilstein 5100's and bar pin eliminators as well and the ride is fabulous. I was very happy with these springs. I ordered another exact same setup for my 90 MJ earlier this evening. Using these on the front and HellCreek 3" leaf packs on the rear.
  24. Yikes! lol.....yeh I can imagine the cringing going on....."the horror" lol.....but different strokes for different folks. I like nice stuff....and I hate watching crap just sit around and decline from not being used. I am way past the point in my life where I buy things for garage art. I have some of that junk already. When I die my stuff is all going to be worn out. Not to mention that grandsons are cool (I have two) and I have two comanches. Can you guess who will end up with them?????
  25. You can't build it for 12k and it is a nice truck for sure so I think you did fine. IMO the truck needs a 3 inch lift and some 31-10.50 tires to be PERFECT in my book. congrats !
