  1. Well, I used the hoist at my house to get the motor and trans out of my '89 parts truck, and had it in the bed to bring back to Outlaw Star. He actually had the idea to just strap it in the bed so we could just yank the motor and drag it to the container. Worked out well!! Jerry
  2. The Eliminator is earning it's keep: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Moving Outlaw Star's 4.0, AW4, and 242 out of his old XJ, and putting them in a container for safe keeping. Jerry
  3. Ok, that don't make sense, they make a Chevy part, but, they won't ship to the US, WTF!? Jerry
  4. A few things were done to the Eliminator this week: painted the hood to match the truck, got the parts truck's under dash lights installed and working, and got the cheap as hell B-pillar lights working! The hood: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found The interior lights: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found The biggest thing with these B-pillar lights is the ground, you have to clean everything related to the ground side! The lens works as a rocker switch, centered is off totally, tilted down makes them work off the door switches and the headlight switch, and tilted up turns them on no matter what. You REALLY have to clean all the parts of that switch part on the lens, as well as make sure that the metal strips don't move up when you are working the lens. If any part of the plastic is broken, you're done, throw it away, as when you work the lens, the metal strips will work away from the lens. Just some tips! Oh, and to keep the B-pillar lights in, I used thin double sided tape on the ends, works like a champ! Jerry
  5. Nice truck!! Thank you for your service! That's one mean stinger on that bumper! Jerry
  6. HAD the transfer case skid plate? I assume that is in your possession? LOL Jerry
  7. Thanks! I was surprised there were no dents in it!! Didn't even have to unbolt it, I hear! Jerry
  8. Image Not Found Image Not Found Painted the skid plate silver, was hoping to match the Eliminator bumper, but, oh well. Jerry
  9. Washed the Eliminator and put the shell from the parts MJ on, cleaning the windows as well: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found I also put on a front skid plate that Outlaw Star got for me at the junkyard: Image Not Found And after I took the bottom front valance off: Image Not Found Image Not Found That's it so far! Jerry
  10. My wife was told, even thought i installed a factory hitch on her '04 WJ, they still consider it an aftermarket hitch based on it wasn't factory or dealer installed. She's getting it inspected next week. Jerry
  11. Are those headlights the Chinese 2000 XJ ones? Like those and the Baja fenders as well. Jerry
  12. About the D44, my '86 Custom, with the 2.8/auto originally, has a D44, trac lock and 4:11 gears! Jerry
  13. When I was installing some 5.25" Pioneers in the doors, I found this behind the passenger side door panel. Image Not Found Image Not Found It's the original built sheet that was put in while the truck was built. I took out what I could, about half, before I put the door panel back on. Plan on laminating the paper to preserve it. I always heard about these sheets being in Jeeps, but never saw one on any of my Jeeps (not sure about the '86 MJ yet). Jerry
  14. Do yours look like these, yellaheep? Image Not Found Reason I ask is, the thick lower stripe that fades into the body color doesn't look like it's included with the eBay kit, just the ELIMINATOR and the four thin stripes. Jerry
  15. I was thinking of going that route, thanks!! Jerry
  16. Thanks, 91Pioneer, I've been looking for those Eliminator decals, saw the 90's ones all over the place, but, not these! Jerry
  17. Yeah, looking at possibly getting one from the JY. Only thing is, I need to build a battery pack so I can test it there, and not waste my money! Wished I did that with the overhead console for the XJ. Jerry
  18. Anyone successfully repaired these dash clocks? I have an '88 Eliminator with the clock that has the back light bulb. I checked the power feeds, and replaced the bulb. When the key is on, the bulb lights up, and, at the plug, I have power, both switched and constant. I took the clock appart, didn't see any burnt components or cold solder joints. Anyone know what could have gone bad? I really don't NEED the thing, but, eventually, I want to restore the truck, and I would like to have it working. Thanks! Jerry
  19. Ok, just measured. Both rear corners are at 21 1/4", the front pass side is 20 1/4" and front driver side 19 3/4". Anyone know what could cause the driver side to be an inch shorter? Thanks Jerry
  20. The fruits of my labor over the past week: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found RC 3" XJ lift and 3" XJ add-a-leafs from Outlaw Star. Jerry
  21. After working on the springs last night, I realized I messed up, LOL!! Sorry about the wrong info!! Jerry
  22. Finally starting on the 3" XJ lift! I'm using add-a-leaves from Outlaw Star's old XJ, and the fixed LCA's, springs, and shocks from my XJ. Got the add-a-leaves installed the last few days. Image Not Found Image Not Found Gained 2" exactly in rear. I will be doing the rest on Saturday. Jerry
  23. I put an IRO adjustable TB on my wife's lifted WJ, I highly recommend them, and I will be getting one for the Eliminator soon. Jerry
