  5. Ok, figured out how I was going to install the XJ overhead console. When I got the console, I got the two mounting brackets, hoping to use those to mount it in the Eliminator. After searching on the internet, and not finding much on how to use the brackets, I went at it alone, and I think I like the results. Here are where the brackets are placed: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found And with the console mounted: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Now, I need to install the headliner, cut some holes in that for the console, recover the console, and finish wiring it up, and it should be ready! 6. Very nice Eliminator!! I have an '88 as well, just black. Mine didn't come with the OEM bumper, just a stupid POS tube bumper. Like you, I'm keeping what I'm taking off. I have an about 3.5" lift on mine right now. That gray really makes that truck look different!!!
  7. The strange thing about the fitment is, the driver side one (the corner that is damaged) fit better the the passenger side (undamaged). I'm not so sure about the fitment, but, at least I can use them for everyday use. As for the wiring, I took my spare rear harness from the parts truck I had, cut the bulb sockets off, and wired the lights to that. This way, if I want to put the OEM lights back on, I just have to swap out the rear harness, and install the old lights, and I'm good to go.
  8. Insides? You mean the back side of the lights? Jerry
  9. Here is the packaging and part number for the lights. Image Not Found Jerry
  10. http://www.pinklightning.com/productcart/pc/home.asp This is the local trucker's chrome and CB shop, near West Palm Beach, FL. As these are new lights that she just got, they probably are not on the website yet, but, call her, she will probably ship them to you. Jerry
  11. Here are my lights installed Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Taillights on. Image Not Found Taillights on with left turn signal on Image Not Found Reverse lights on. Image Not Found Reverse light pattern. I was very surprised at the light output for the reverse lights!
  12. Yeah, I'm sure that MagnaFlow works great behind a 4.0, but the 4cyl's, not so much.
  13. I would do the WJ brake booster/master cylinder mod, to get as much braking power as you can.
  14. I wished my phone would get better sound. I tried recording the sound from mine, but, the low tones didn't get recorded.
  15. Probably just the standard OEM Walker muffler will work for you.
  16. What's everyone running these days? I finally replaced my stock blown-up muffler (from backfires when I was trying to get it running) on my '88 Eliminator (4.0L Renix) with a Thrush Welded muffler. I must say I'm impressed for spending $37 and change on this thing, and the sound is beautiful!! No raspy ricer sound, deep tones, even when idling, and, when you are on the highway, the drone isn't really bad at all. I was just curious if anyone is running this one, and, if not, what are you guys running. Jerry
  17. Here's my dash in the Eliminator, after I got the OEM clock working. Image Not Found I still have the original Jeep AM/FM radio, keeping it for restoration purposes.
  18. I feel ya, man! My poor Eliminator got hit twice in the year I've had it, once when someone ran the red light and hit me at 50MPH, and, my friend's next door neighbor backed into it when it was on the street! nice truck, by the way~ Jerry
  19. Got my Rusty's tail light housings the other day!! Here is the test fit: Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Will be getting the LED lights this weekend, and wire them up!! I'm ready to get these MJ tail lights off and protected! Jerry
  20. I'm waiting on my set of housings to arrive, and I was curious what LED's others have put in them. I was leaning towards the oval with the back light ring around the stop/tail lights, and possibly a 3" round LED pod on the side. What do you guys have? Jerry
  21. Actually, Lee, that damage was from the first accident. I tracked it down to the hinge bracket on the tailgate itself. Jerry
  22. This is how I lit my plate: Image Not Found I think it's bright enough: Image Not Found Image Not Found Jerry
  23. Actually, the tailgate is a little jacked from the accident. You can see how the top of it is higher on the right vs. the left. Jerry
