  1. That's a LOT of axle for 35's. Personally, I'd flip it and get an 8.8 and HP44 for the front. That's just me, though.
  2. NICE!!! In the rims: if you squint at en, they KINdA look like the olf Jeep Turbine wheels. Kinda.....
  3. Wait, your MAP sensor line is melting? Something's not right....
  4. Nice. I wonder how they'd do on a smaller tire, like a 31 or 33.
  5. BTW, how do you all feel about balancing beads?
  6. I have seen shops that ARE that bad. Besides, he might have hit a few puddles in the past 140 miles.
  7. No mud INSIDE the lip of your wheels? I used to have those same wheels on my ZJ a long time ago and they had a tendency to collect crud in the inner lip where the rim meets the face. It would shake pretty horribly until I would wash em out.
  8. I'd also say to change it with something on the cheap end, preferrably with lots of detergent *cough* Pennzoil *cough*, then take a long, leisurely drive so that thr engine gets nice and hot. Once you come back, dump the oil while the engine is still hot and fill up with what you normally use.
  9. Hahahah! That bad, huh?
  10. So True. Egg-zackly! That was what I was trying to say, but I suppose I'm too wordy. :P
  11. If my squirrel ever goes out, I will either put in a blown 2.4L out of a GT Cruiser, or just go whole hog and slam a V8 into it. No point in getting a "normal" 6 banger then wishing for more further down the road. BTW, JeepCoMJ, a SC 3800 HAS definately crossed my mind.
  12. Damn. That sucks. I really, really like the Gates Greenstripe stuff. I guess I'll bite thr bullet and run a Dayco. :-\
  13. Thanks!! The one they keeo trying to give me *almost* fits. I have to bend it a wee bit too far forward for my taste. It can fit, but I don't feel confortable running a pinched hose.
  14. The D35 is a decent axle. Hell, I ran one under my ZJ for a year with 32's and a 4.6 stroker under my ZJ and gave it to a buddy when I did my 8.8 swap. He's still running it under HIS ZJ with 33's and heavy use of the skinny pedal.
  15. Hello all. Can anyone do me a huge solid and tell me what part # you guys are using for the upper radiator hose on your 4 banger MJ's? I have gone to several auto parts stores here in town and either they don't know what a Comanche is, or they handnme something that isn't quite right. FWIW, I have a non AC, non P/S MJ. Thanks in advance!
  16. It *should* be ok, assuming your system is properly bled. BTW, is that a pair of Kleins I see?
  17. Has 4 pin square connector.......Different animal. Indeed, but if one can figure out said 4 wires and their functions, some creative wiring may get the connector to work, which would be cool for us 2.5 guys, because, well, finding 2.5 Renix stuff is a PITA!
  18. XJ seats are nice, but those S2000 seats are COMFY, plus, they really do hold one in when driving in a.... spirited manner.
  19. You beat me to it, Eagle. The 2.5 is drfinitely a revver. It actually has its HP peak just shy of redline. 5200rpm, if memory serves me.
  20. I have a Kenwood head driving a pair of 6's in the doors and I stuffed some Pioneer 6x9's in a pair of ammo cans behind thr seats. It actually sounds pretty good. I thought about a sub, but havent felt the need for one after I installed the 6x9's.
  21. Yup, it came with everything, even ABS sensors, which, if anyone needs em, are up for grabs. :)
  22. I may down the line, but I got the TJ axle basically free, with thr gears I wanted, and it has less than 100k miles.
  23. I'm going 'glass on my MJ soon as well. Stay tuned. ;)
  24. Yeah... forgot to mention. ALWAYS drill and bolt onto unit bodies. NEVER weld. Hell, I hardly ever weld to "normal" frames.
  25. I'm curious. Why the dash as well? To be honest, I haven't spent any real time inside of a XJ that's post-96. The old style dash and newer door panels are of different styles and don't look "right" together. Never noticed that Johnny. :hmm: I wouldn't mind switching to the newer larger mirrors, but unfortunately I've never seen them in chrome. I like my wing windows too. To each his own............ Ah... I see. Meh. I personally LIKE the bare bones dash my Heep has. It's a nice change from the ZJ. BTW, I like wing windows too. They come in handy in the rain. :)
