  1. That's neat but how are you going to read it while you're driving down the road? LOL
  2. The lights are here: http://amzn.to/21eOe38 Also available @ http://amzn.to/21eOe38
  3. 84-01 are the same... Provided it's a 4 door.
  4. C2C makes the worst fitting panels, run away from them. Best fitting are available from a number of places. I just ordered XJ rockers from this place, they seem to have legit stuff --> http://raybuck.com/?s=&post_type=product#/filter:ss_finder:1992$253EJeep$253ECherokee/filter:ss_hierarchy:Body$2520$2526$2520Chassis Fast shipping too, shipped out the next day and arrived in 4 days. I'm going to try and make XJ rockers fit my MJ. Specifically: http://raybuck.com/product/1984-01-jeep-cherokee-xj-front-floor-section-driver-side/ The best tip I can give you is not to search for MJ floor pans, search for XJ floor pans, you'll have much better success.
  5. Those look stock length to me.
  6. You shouldn't need to use sealant. Make sure the hole is clean and tap it in. It shouldn't hurt anything to use a bit of sealant but it's more important to make sure the hole is clean so when you tap in the new plug it seals it.
  7. You don't have to but it's a good idea to change all the freeze plugs if you are changing one due to a leak.
  8. I don't have a big plan or "build", mainly I'm just trying to restore the truck. It won't turn into some huge crazy offroad build ;)
  9. I did DIY. I bought the headliner material from a local upholstery shop and the spray adhesive (it must be high temp). This is the adhesive http://amzn.to/1WcS63J For dynamat, I used a cheap alternative. I forgot to take a pic I guess but the stuff I put on there is http://amzn.to/1YFdvBu- real easy to apply and seems to help. Here is a pic of the headliner backboard that I started with. I applied some fiberlgass to the back two and one front corners on the top side to help hold the shape and fix the broken corners.
  10. There is likely no need to go to RockAuto. Stop by a local auto parts store or engine rebuilder with the measurement. These things are cheap.
  11. Update. RockAuto order arrived, got some work to do as soon as I can make enough room in my garage. I bought a header panel that isn't cracked but in my rush I bought the wrong one (for 86-90) oops, I'm out $30 now. And, that's more good:
  12. The main thing I didn't like about the Fey bumper is it doesn't wrap around so that's good news. Can you post a side pic someday?
  13. Not bad. Does it wrap around much more than an inch?
  14. This is the rad I bought (and where I bought it LOL) http://amzn.to/1MvlJeU
  15. I believe the cooler lines come with rubber or plastic caps on them
  16. I have the spectra. It's been good, only problem I had after almost a year was a tiny leak but I tightened the lower trans line at the rad and that fixed it. Depending on your air box the rad cap spot might touch.
  17. How were the cab corners?
  18. shifter: $259 US = $334.47 CDN shipping: $65.96 US = $83.88 CDN $418.35... So... thanks but I'll keep looking ;)
  19. That sucks! Want to cut off the cab corners for me?
  20. Keep the cat. Someone took off the cat on the 92 I just got and it reeks. I'm gonna put a converter back on.
  21. Just buy a new pan and be done with it. $58 if it's 4.0L --> http://amzn.to/1PZzywB Definitely like hornbrod says, pay attention to the order and torque value when tightening the bolts. Once you've tightened them down, go back over 2 more times in the same order. I found doing it 3 times perfect when I did my valve cover gasket not too long ago. I snugged the bolts up correctly once, went back over and some were loose a bit (same PermaDry gasket). Heck just buying that new pan is cheaper than going to the mechanic once! I just got my gasket, I'm awaiting RockAuto for the RMS and I'll be tackling this job next weekend or so. If sounds like you probably don't own a torque wrench. Get one, seriously. Actually get two, one for inch-pounds and one for foot-pounds to do the job right. Straight from the factory service manual: Side note... Wow 30 ft lbs for the drain plug sounds way too tight. I will bust out the torque wrench next time I do an oil change to get a feel for that anyway.
  22. New cab corners and rockers are not available anywhere, not OEM ones anyway. I did find this recently - http://www.ebay.com/itm/281985048571- basically they are the kind of rocker that slips over the current rocker. I discovered them because the driver side rocker on my 92 is this one I believe. Pretty cheap and if you are OK with "close enough" they actually look good. The curve just below the door is ever so slightly different but I think it would work for a lot of folks.
  23. Well this sucks. prop_kulture initially got back to me to give me a price and say he has them but I replied (twice) to ask how close are they to OEM and if he could send a pic or something of them and no reply. I wouldn't call that good customer service. Oh well I guess I'll have to find someone else that wants my business.
  24. Are you going for looks or function? I'm generally not a fan hood vents.
  25. Just wire the fog light factory type switch inline to the ballast. Fog light switch on means good to go, fog lights off means bad day for crook. Would a crook try a factory dash switch or look for something hidden? Hmmmm
