  1. My suggestion is to find a HO xj, and do the swap. Especially since you already doing all the hard stuff, just my 2 cents.
  2. Definitely depends on condition, as Minuit stated it is one of the most sought after configurations.
  3. Cool build I like the tail lights more pics of those pls
  4. I just completed this same project you do not need new harness just 4x4 trans, transfercase with linkages and front diff commando is correct the 4wd light won't work but could with some extra wiring I didn't worry about it I can tell if I'm in 4wd
  5. Thanks a lot man hopefully it's that easy if not hope your available!
  6. He says the harness has 7 wires and I believe mine has 5 I might be mistaken though? Oh well I'm gonna get it he just put 1k in it at a shop and he is gonna let me have it for 400 so I guess I'll just bug you with pm's when I get it lol thx
  7. Hi guys need some help my aw4 in my 91 mj just took a nap yesterday it was out of a 95 xj simple plug and play. Well i called around trying to locate a new one my buddy has a 96 obd2 he just had rebuilt but the cherokee got wrecked before he could install it. He's gonna give it to me for a really good price I know this has been done before from searching the Internet, but it's pretty vague was wondering if any of you guys have done this before and possibly some details on how to pull it off any help would be greatly appreciated
  8. I got 3 piece slider PM me if interested
  9. There is a writeup that is on going on naxja titled "Everything you ever wanted to know about aw4" my buddy says it's mentioned somewhere in that thread but can't recall details haven't got a chance to read through its really long but I plan on reading it
  10. Bump I was wondering the same thing seen this when I was doing my 4x4 conversion
  11. Crutchfield.com my car app builds it for you and gives all options that fit at a really good price and excellent customer service never buy my sound equipment anywhere else
  12. Just installed RE lift and it says same thing drill hole 3/4" but I went with adjustable track bar
  13. what rims are you referring to? After further investigation they are hubcentric Jk wheels my procomps are not
  14. Well I gotta use them front and rear to get the Jk wheels to fit they are 5x5 how else would I do it? Is this what guys are doing to run late model wheels? Yes, you are correct in needing them front & rear. IIRC 1.25" is about as narrow as you can go to adapt a lug pattern. Some places do offer wider spacers at least (don't know about adapters) if you wished to get a wider set for the rear to even out the track widths. Guys that are running them in front are they able to get a full nut on front or are they extending their studs? From what I can tell the ones I have are the same width as spidertrax 1.25" adapters (not hubcentric) and can only seem to get a 1/2 to 3/4 nut on unless the spidertrax are cut deeper where the lugs go?

  16. You got em on front too right
  17. Thanks didn't like the way they bolted up anyway half a nut spooky gonna get some spidertrax you have the adapters right what size spacer (adapter) did you go with to get a full nut and not have to cut the stud
  18. Hi guys recently got some Jk wheels and adapters from a buddy that had them on an xj they were given to me! The only thing that concerns me are the adapters they are just spacers (lug centric) 1.25" I see a lot of you guys run the spidertrax hub, wheel, and lug centric. I know the advantages are it doesn't put all the stress on the lugs. When I discussed it with him he said it's just a marketing ploy by spidertrax and other company's to get you to spend 2-300 $ on their special spacers he told me to take a look at the factory wheels they are not hubcentric (good point). So why would your spacer have to be he told me to just pattern my torque with the lugs use loctite, and your good to go said he has been running them for 3 years no problems just wondering you guys opinion on the matter
  19. Yea I can't really find any reviews on the 4.0 stroker for our jeeps but have found some for their other engines which are all good and even the bad reviews say that blueprint followed through with their warranty wish I could find someone that has one in their jeep
  20. Blueprint stroker from summit 2800 pretty good deal haven't seen too many reviews at all I guess no news is good news still looking for a good shop in my area but this engine is tempting for the price
  21. What about blueprint stroker any opinions
  22. Awesome! Did you happen to do a build thread
  23. There is it was old 87 xj and wore out pushing 300000 we can not control how PO treats our vehicles I'm sure I'm just like most on here who did not buy their trucks new sure a 4.0 is a great long lasting engine with proper maintenance or at least some maintenance but it is not invincible and when you get it with 150k to 200k to start with its hard to turn back the hands of time
  24. Yea that's definitely option not one I'm willing to take. 4.0's are tough but, I have been on the side of the road with one believe it or not. Which I'm sure many others have too. It is my DD and use it for my side business. I like to be where I say I'm gonna be when I tell my customers I'll be there no excuses if a man doesn't have his word he ain't got nothing and since that's about all I got and this old truck just can't risk it. Would love to get that stroker in here for a little more pulling power!
