  5. there is also a 88 mj in a pick and pull fairly close that I might go an get an axle from. Would the u joint cause the issues described in my op that is what someone suggested on a different forum? That woulda been the first thing to replace being its the cheapest. $20 bucks and a little bit of time to change. You an change that yourself with a few sockets and a bench vice. Then if it ends up being the axle, you have a new joint. I'd also pop the cover off the diff and take a peak for anything obvious.

  7. That's a extremely hard to find rear axle. Lots of hot rod guys would kill for that 9." Rear axle is as simple as welding a few perches and shock mounts. The front is a little more involved. Remember you will need different wheels also.

  9. What year AX15 should I order parts for then for the conversion? Looks like 94 or newer. Is that correct? Looks like I'm going to have a bucks into this..

  12. Seller claims it does. If it does, will it successfully convert the trans to external slave? He wants $150. I'd offer maybe $100.
  13. I have a internal slave AX15 on the shelf. I found a bell housing off of a 2000 XJ off a NV3550 that is obviously external slave. If I bought it, would it work on my trans to successfully convert my trans to a external slave? Seems obvious to me there is no reason why but I've never dug this deep into AX15 tech.

  19. Finally got a few hours to mess with this thing. Main part of dash in. Everything hooked up. I'm having trouble finding all the hardware to put it back together. It was a long time ago when I pulled the dash.. I'm planning on swinging down to the junkyard to get some more hardware maybe next week. I also swapped the Moabs for some ICONS. What do you guys think? I will get some 31" or 32" tall tires on them eventually.
