  1. I love the truck, but PLEAAASE get some more agressive tires on that thing! That just kills the look. I know you don't need them in your climate but it would change the look so much I think you'll love it. Just my opinion, nothing meant by it.
  2. Looks great, nice job!
  3. Me three
  4. So this would not affect anything if it was not plugged in? I don't have an electric fan yet.
  5. It seems I already have that pluged into something?? I will look when I get home I guess.
  6. I have an empty plug under the air box on my '87 Comanche. It's a 2 pin just like the MAT sensor MALE with a green waterproof rubber grommet. Does anyone know what this is supposed to plug into? Photobucket is not working for me today, neither is Picasa :fs1: It looks like this except with two pins. I thought I knew at one time but now I forgot.
  7. I think they look much better in person, like the Hundai Genesis coupe. The trailhawk is sweet, authough it's pricy but that's what people want, nice interiors and all the options. When's the last time you actually custom ordered any vehicle? It just doesn't happen anymore. No stripper truck with the big V8 and heavy duty suspension, roll up windows and manual steering etc. The Cherokee compared to any other vehicle in the segment is a real knockout. Remember a Cherokee was a SUV that drove good on road and was great off road, just like this one is going to be. The customer was the one that pushed manufactures into offering all these options and packages. If you want the 4 cylinder multiair engine 2wd that's great for the southern parts without snow who goes offroad?
  8. My renix stroker idles at 1100rpm after it warms up in park. I changed the idle air motor and now it idles at 1400rpm. Not what I was expecting. Where do I go from here?
  9. great progress like it
  10. Good decision. I too replaced my booster, upgraded to a '96 XJ unit with the new master cylinder. That brake fluid is like thermite plasma, it melts through almost anything!!!!
  11. Wow, keep the pictures coming, I really enjoy seeing real pictures of these places I will probably never travel and see for myself. It may just seem "normal" for you, but I am very excited to see any pictures you post on any topic. Thank you.
  12. I would like to buy a 1990 Jeep Cherokee engine harness for a 4.0L Auto with A/C. I want the '90 harness because it doesn't have the C101 connector and I need the one with A/C because they have more wires. Let me know what you have, PM me please!! Thanks!
  13. I modified mine instead, sorry for not replying. I forgot to check my post afterward.
  14. Are you going to put the badges back on?
  15. LoL!
  16. ...Actually he's been put down sadly. He was declawed though, his brother lives on and is a regular inside and out when it's parked in the garage. He loves to be out there when I am. The late Deimos and his brother Loki watching me put my engine together.
  17. Update, \\ Engine is back from the machine shop, all put back together first start video. The battery was low so it starts kinda rough. After I charged the battery it rolls over much better. My oil pressure is lower than I would like at 40psi cold start and 19psi at warm idle. We'll see how it goes, the first 500 miles are coming.
  18. Great progress, I've always been a fan of your work.
  19. Great work, nice to see you are doing the entire project yourself, it helps to have a rust free sample!!
  20. That looks great!
  21. Very cool, thanks for posting. I really enjoy seeing all the different landscape compared to pine trees and grass here.
  22. Here are some pics
  23. Update time Engine is safe and sound at home in front of the Comanche. I got all the parts back that were replaced, the first thing I noticed was the piston I picked up. It was severely scored on the one side with a 1" crack in the skirt!! I will go through everything in time, I am on a two week stretch at work so it will be a while before I'm back at it. The new parts: New Icon forged pistons Rings Newer 4.0L rods Comp Cams cam, lifters, springs, keepers Double roller timing set Oil pump Cam bearings, main bearings Some maintenance items: Hot tanked Magnafluxed Balanced Line bored Bored .060 over, it was only .015 over when I bought it it turns out! Crank turned, polished Valve job Intake and exhaust ported Intake port matched That is all I can think of off the top of my head, it was a long day.
