  1. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found the Suburban i built for a friend of mine..... 99 3/4 ton 6.5 diesel, 6in. pro comp lift, 35's, 4 in. exhaust and basically every performance mod from SS diesel supply under the hood...
  2. lol yeah mine's the same way... when i bought it it was completely rust and rot free except for a hole in the floor on the pass. side... it was rainy and nasty here all last week so i cleaned it on sunday.... i pulled the d. side floormat and found a puddle underneath it.... a quick look at the underside confirmed that the d. side floor pan is now broken through too, no rust on it at all just broken to pieces around the body drain.... i've come to the conclusion that amc engineered these trucks to dissolve in the rain.. i can't come up with any other explanation... it had 98k miles when i bought it 2 years ago and no rot save for the one hole, which is quite rare up here in NE.. it gets garaged well before the first snowflake of winter hits the ground and removed from hibernation usually at the beginning of april... i need to fix it (and many other things) but the jeep can't go out of commission till i get the trans in the chevy rebuilt and i can drive that again... arghhhh!
  3. cool man congrats lol! i entered the ol' mj in a show in worcester MA on sunday for the hell of it cause i went with a bunch of friends... i was all happy cause when i got there there were only 2 other trucks so i thought "yay, i've got 3rd place all locked up"..... and then the diesels came..... a ford and a dodge both lifted sittin on 24's ..... good show tho, lotsa custom built stuff, the 2 trucks that were there before me were an s10 with a 502 in it, and a bagged 89 chevy 1500 with a 5.3 with a turbo and nos...

  11. could be a slight leak in the exhaust manifold....
  12. i'd love to do this, but sadly it would be in my chevy..... the jeep is only a 2wheeler
  13. a 302 and a 351 are like a 305 and a 350... same block different bore and stroke, a lot of parts are interchangeable
  14. ya thievery sucks... back when i was in college i had a super clean isuzu puckup that the radio got stolen from twice.... after the second one disappeared i got another one and installed it surrounded by razor wire... came home from school one day a week or so later and the lock was popped again, but this time the radio was still there and there was some blood spots on the carpet underneath it... and the punk kid that lived next door had some freshly bandaged hands the next morning..... i dragged him back into his house, and confronted him in front of his parents at 7:30 am, had his dad come over and look at my truck, and by the time we got back inside the kid had a glowing handprint across his face and both of my stolen radios were on their kitchen table!
  15. hey there, i've got an 88 2.5 2wd 4spd. 113k on the clock... pretty much stock... with the addition of some zj wheels, 94 xj seats and console, and an xm radio tuner. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found these are the most recent pics i've got, i've since color matched the grille and headlight bezels, and removed the rest of the side mouldings.
  16. just stumbled across this thread, i'm a noob on here.......sorry to hear about this man.... hope everything goes well and your wife gets better fast
  17. So where can I get that sticker? I'm swapping in a Mopar V-8 with Mopar Performance parts? Today I did some welding on my left wheelwell and will be working on it more tomorrow.(I mean later this morning) . Hopefully I will finish it so I can post pictures later today. :D I worked on the figuring out the mounting locations for a pair of 4" lift Rubicon Express YJ 4" lift leaf springs I'm swapping in front. i'm not sure where to get the sticker, i saw that on some random photobucket album looking at dodge stuff.....
  18. yeah $2400 is wayyyy too much..... i got my 88 with 101k miles on it, 2wd, 4spd., 2.5, dummy gauges and all and in need of very little work for $850.
  19. X2 for more hood pics, that looks sick!
  20. i think it looks good man, it's a different direction than these trucks usually head in... i agree with the bigger tire idea too.... next 2 things i would do is tint them windows! and debadge it.
  21. last sunday: finally did the bucket seat swap. stripped off all side mouldings. removed grille and all front trim pieces, sprayed em all black to match the truck. finally replaced the busted p. side bumper end cap. today: ordered the clear corner lights, a grant signature series steering wheel and the horn button that says jeep on it. also ordered the remote for the radio cause that broke a while ago.
  22. i just saw this thing posted on ebay.... current bid is almost 8k.... it's local, so i might go take a look at it....
  23. ahhhhh.... mine has no tabs, looks like the PO bolted it on at all three holes.... arghhh! lol
  24. is there a way to replace the front bumper end cap without tearing the entire front end apart? it doesn't look like you can....
