That is a pretty wicked! I imagine there was a momentary freakout when he kicked up all the muck and lost his sight. Awesome video.

Looks like a good starter/builder, body looks straight. What are you thinking for wheels? Welcome.

? for those that have swapped wire harnesses

This is exactly what I am looking at as well. I have an 88 MJ and my cmc has been leaking on and off for years but I didn't realize it untill a few months ago so my fuse box is becoming toast. Mine has the 2.5 in it though so I'm not sure if what you are talking about applies to mine or not. :dunno: I lost my dome lights a while back and now my brack and dash lights are going. I have officially parked her untill I get a new cmc and figure out what in the world I am going to do as there doesn't appear to be an easy solution. :wall: Keep us updated on your decision! -
That looks pretty sweet. I can't wait to see it with some bumpers and your rubi's on there. Nice Build.

88 Comanche (My Style)..."The Blue Truck"
DodgeFan01 replied to ComancheKid45's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
 The flash sure did light it up. Thats the exact same cover I have in my blue manch! Great minds think alike! -
Nice looking truck, paint looks decent too, I really like that color. I have the same situatione, my dad bought my manche brand new and handed it down to me about 8 years ago!
-
Nice!! That looks way comfy. I like the pattern on it, and the headrests. I wish mine had headrests :brows: Are you getting new carpet for the floor or go with the vinyl? Man that seat looks good! How much that set you back, if you don't mind me asking?
-
The interior colors I'm coping from an '89 XJ Limited that I robbed the door panels out of. That Limited was the only one I've seen like it: I really like the colors of the interior! They look freakin sweet together! Did you get the dash from the 89 XJ as well or paint yours? What are you going to do with the seats? Black? Black with Blue Vinyl? :brows:

Wow, what the heck did you use to strip it?

Couldn't get to the vid, but I did watch the fight and it was definitely nice to see Bisping get knocked the f out, Hendo jacked him up. I don't care for Bisping and I think he is a big mouthed jerk, that was my favorite fight of that night! I can't wait till either Fedor or Carwin do that to Lesnar!

My dad bought the 88 sport truck brand new, I was 8 at the time and thought it was the coolest truck ever! He put a big ol shell on it with the carpet kit so me and my brother were always hanging out in the back. When I turned 20(8 years ago) he gave it to me and I have been loving it ever since although my dad lives/baught it in Cali and I live in Colo, so it is a little akward for me to be driving around in a 2 wheel drive truck, but hopefully that will change soon. :D If I had the room I'd probly have 10 of them sitting out side, but alas, no more room(or so the wife says). :wall:

I just picked up a role of that bubble insulation stuff from work that we were gonna throw out! Glad I saw this project, thanks for the idea! Any updates? Sweet jeep so far.

Don't those airbags require some kind of sensor that you have to mount to the front end? I'm not sure how they work but it is something I would want to make sure to get right. Plus, if the airbags came from a cherokee, do you think there would be a size difference that would make them too big for our big cab or something? :dunno:

Mnkyboys 89 Comanche project
DodgeFan01 replied to mnkyboy's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
:agree: I was thinking the exact same thing, that interior looks comfy. I have been trying to think of what to do since a Hate my bench seat, but I use all three spots just about daily, I didn't even think of something like, which I should have because I have the same set up in my Ram. Thanks for the idea! You'll have to let us know how hard it was to install.- 798 replies

It's good to see that I'm not the only one having those fuse box issues. I lost my dome lights about a year ago to cracked fittings and now my break lights and dash lights are acting up on me. You'll have to keep us updated if you find a somewhat easy fix without having to replace the whole thing.
-
Sweet thanks. I might hit the jy this weekend.
-
Wow, that does seem pretty easy. Did you just pull the sending units off the truck you pulled the cluster from or by new ones?
-
Nice find on the gauge cluster, only being 2000 miles off. I am thinking about doing that same thing. was it an easy swap? Does the tach/everything else work correctly? :hmm:

99 Clutch Master Cylinder into 87 MJ
DodgeFan01 replied to 64 Cheyenne's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
Ok, I got you, that definitely makes sense. I definitely would not want to rely solely on the strength of the firewall. That is a great fix to the problem what you did making your own MC mounting plate! Jeep On! -

Just out of curiosity, why didn't you just drill two new holes in the firewall like you were thinking with marking the X's? :dunno: -

Well it finally stopped raining yesterday, I went out there and she fired right up. I'll check the cap tonight and see if anything looks odd. -
