  1. There is a bank of 4 resistors under the hood over by the battery.
  2. I've checked the blower fuse under the dash and it's fine. I pulled what I think is the correct resistor under the hood and it looks fine but I know that's not definitive but I don't think it's the resistor because I don't get blower when the switch is on high. If there's another fuse, I can't find it.
  3. Yes, they did.
  4. OK, I'm having the problem of no blower, blinkers, horn in my 88 comanche. I need you to treat me like an idiot and walk me step by step on how to diagnose this please.
  5. My blower in the 91 comanche isn't working. Well, hasn't for the last few days then yesterday morning, the temp dropped outside a little and it worked fine. After work, tried it again and nothing. I can hear something opening and closing behind the dash but no blower. My horn, blinkers, etc are working fine. Ideas?
  6. My problem turned out to be the pump wired backwards. When we changed the wires, it worked fine.
  7. Yes. We used what came with the new pump.
  8. OK. Will work on this tomorrow and at this point, I may just put the old one back on.
  9. There were no symptoms. Original owner had the pump and everybody said may as well replace the pump while you have the tank down. I'm not familiar with the bucket test.
  10. It does run for a few seconds then stops. What else might help...There's over 3/4's of a tank of gas so the pump should be fully submerged in fuel. I've jumpered the the fuel pump relay and can hear the pump running but didn't leave it jumpered long. Should I do that again? And if so, how long should I let it run? I've opened the schrader valve and got almost nothing out of it but haven't hooked a fuel pressure guage up. Should I do that?
  11. I turn the key to the on position and can hear the pump buzzing but the engine won't start. I'm 99% positive the leads on the pump are hooked up correctly. I disconnected the feed line on the tank side of the external fuel filter and turned the key to on but nothing came out. If the pump leads were hooked up incorrectly, the pump wouldn't run, right? Or would it run backwards and if that's the case, what would happen? I really don't want to drop this tank again.
  12. It's the short bed and I've ordered the tank. Does come with the locking ring and the O ring. I would have welded but there's some rust.
  13. I know I have to replace one of the valves because it's broken so may as well order 2. I'll look at amazon for a tank. Thanks
  14. The gas tank on my 89 comanche is leaking. How do I know which tank will fit this truck and do I need to order new vent valves and the locking ring?
  15. I must confess that I took it in and had it done. I started reading about all that was involved in replacing the switch which involved disassembling the column and thought, nope, beyond my skill. Plus, one mechanic I talked to said there's a plastic piece that tends to break because it's old. I figured if he broke it he'd have to find and fix it, not me. Was a 2 hour labor cost which would have been an entire day for me. Money well spent in my opinion.
  16. I think one of those valves broke off on the top of my 89 comanche. Should I just replace that valve or the entire tank?
  17. This one is on and working perfectly. Thanks for all the help.
  18. Awesome Thank you!
  19. Will this switch work my intermittant wipers? http://www.amazon.com/Standard-Motor-Products-TW20T-Signal/dp/B004C0OXXO/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t
  20. I found some switches on Amazon that indicate they work for my 91 Comanche. How do I know if they'll also operate my intermittent wipers?
  21. The turn signal lever on my 91 comanche broke. I have a left turn signal and the wipers work but no right turn. The lever just flops when I push it up. I felt something snap about a week ago and that's when it stopped working. I can't find the part anywhere. Anyone know what part is would be?
