  1. Gonna do everything I can.
  2. Heck, there are LOT's of Cherokees in junk yards, and it's really not all that difficult (for a body man who knows his trade) to remove the bent uniframe "ears" and inner fenders, and weld in replacements from a donor vehicle. The hard part is finding the right body man..
  3. I have every intention of buying it back and will either repair it depending on the cost or offer it up. I'd really like it to go to someone who will love and fix it. I just may not have the wherewithall since there's very little I can do myself.
  4. As long as the tow bar didn't bend the frame.
  5. Thanks and I'm sad too.
  6. Sadness at my house. My son wrecked the 89 comanche Saturday. A car ran a redlight and he couldn't get stopped. there was a solid steel tow bar across the front that is bend about 2' towards the engine, passenger front quarter panel is buckled in, radiator was pushed into the fan blade. He was hauling a 900lb clutch punch press which rammed into the front of the bed and into the back of the cab bending both and curving the glass which did not break. It was her fault. I've contacted insurance about this and my guess is they will total this truck. My question is do any of you have experience fighting with the insurance companies on the value of these trucks and if so, what info did you use? Also, at what point is it worth fixing? I mean, how much damage is too much? Here is a link to the pictures. I can't get them to show up here.
  7. So, I took it in and got everything working. The mechanics found lots of loose wiring and fixed the problems in the steering column. NOW, my 91 blower isn't working. The fan is good because I tested it. The fuse is good and everything else that works off that circuit works fine. It appears that the wires going to the fan connection aren't getting power. I probed the green and black wire and got nothing. Not sure where to begin on this one.
  8. And it's an 89 with a tilt column that's very loose. I can move the steering wheel up and down about 3/4 inches.
  9. That will be a weekend project. The problem is that this is a daily driver and not having it working is causing some headaches. I'm almost to the point of selling both of them.
  10. Oh boy. that looks daunting.
  11. Now I've got a mechanic trying to tell me that it sounds like a power control module. The diagnostic is 112 then the part if used is about 200 and new it's very expensive. Is there a way for me to rule out the power control module?
  12. And does it require the removal of the dash?
  13. Know one of those in Memphis?
  14. HOT DAMN, that confirms what I thought. I found that on the diagram. Now to find it in the truck. And let me guess, this won't be easy to get to under the dash. Any tips about that?
  15. So, am I looking for an S with a circle and an E with a circle?
  16. Right. I'm looking at that page but I'm not seeing where all the wires to these things would be joined.
  17. And the wipers work.
  18. I'm looking at the diagram and don't see anything named "IP Harness". Would it have another name?
  19. I found that manual as a pdf and downloaded it. I don't know what the connector looks like and assume it's under the dash somewhere. And if those fuses aren't getting power, it appears that the tan wire from the ignition is what feeds that. So, thinking outloud, I should find that tan wire and test it to see if it's hot on the ignition side of the connector. If it's not, then do I that the steering column apart?
  20. None of those have power.
  21. No, the radio doesn't work at all. I'll test the fuses.
  22. Neither the radio nor the cigarette lighter work with or without the 15A radio fuse.
  23. I'll have to check when I get home.
  24. Not factory but it works.
