  1. I think I'd get it, then use plexiglass as a short term fix if possible.
  2. Try tightening the four booster bolts. Mine sounded like it had a loud vacuum leak under the dash after I did the swap, not exactly a squeak but almost. I tightened the booster to the firewall and that took care of it.

  4. Cool, I'm thinking about heading up to PA in the MJ to see my old Iraqi interpreter, we may cross paths again I'm sure.
  5. Would you take $250 for it? :D
  6. Yep, looks like you could get rid of a lot of non-Jeep related rubbish laying around. Come on pal, get your priorities right. :D
  7. Saddle looks great,,,,and good work rescuing the BLM horse. Very cool!
  8. You have a roof and a hard floor. Looks good to me.
  9. Nice pics SirSam, thanks for posting those. I went outside at 2:30 a.m. to see it and it looked like the last photos in your series,,,,very nice.
  10. You get what you pay for when it comes to tires...unless you're buying used...
  11. Generally look for a V8 ZJ or one with the up country package. But if you find the UC package get the shocks and all four coils for me please.
  12. Yep,,,,hoping the best for one of the very few Manche girls!
  13. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm betting any cable from any nearby year XJ should work.
  14. Yes, you should be able to find steering column parts at an auto parts store or any yard. Its a GM column that has been put in millions of vehicles.
  15. Had a similar problem with an XJ. The contacts inside the actual switch had melted. IIRC high was the default,,,,it may depend on how its melted though. I just replaced the entire Temp/Fan Control switch module from a JY XJ. Then it happened again, the actual culprit was the connector. It had melted and ruined the switch. I borrowed the pic from another site,,,,Check this connector and its female counterpart:
  16. When I got my 5.9 I actually wanted to do the same thing,,,,then I got educated on that mod. Mine gets better mileage with 93 than 91 or 89 and saves $ with better mpgs. Plus it has more power. I get 17 on the highway with 245 vs 225 tires.
  17. Also check your antenna cable junction inside the passenger kick panel...sometimes they work loose. Usually you just lose reception though.
  18. But never bad mouth your old employer to your new one, a common interview faux pas.
  19. Bad Chrysler! Bad Chrysler!
  20. No snow.....Haven't you heard, there's a freakin global warming crisis going on right now...our poor grand children will never know what snow even is. Sell your sleds and toboggans while there's still fools around to buy them. NYC will be under water and Chicago will be covered in sand dunes ---- Al Gore said so.
  21. Good for you! Most big retailers have someone like that and I'm betting you'll nab plenty of no-good-doers. Could be a stepping stone to something bigger later on...good luck.
  22. I tried to do this on a 07 Grand Caravan. But it was with dodge Intrepid wheels and some slightly taller studded snow/winter tires. The Intrepid wheels didn't have enough backspacing and would rub the calipers. So I used some cheapo 1/4" spacers and that did the trick. No, you are not alone good sir, your logic is sound.
  23. I did one in the DIY section also.
  24. Nice one!
