On my Dana Diffs I have tags (metal) that will tell me the gear ratio and if it is posi or open...... same on the Ford 8.8's I have. Does anyone have an answer to tell me how to identify a 8.25 POSI (TRAC LOCK) by just the tags or stickers alone?

I am confused.....In the first post you do not mention getting to the point of overheating and having fluid run out......then in your recovery post you say you added 4 gallons (2 & 2) of fluid and it ran ok......so you had no fluid to begin with?

I am in Canada so I can run no fan..... But to answer your question, (this is assuming you don't have V-belts) if you changed out to a rad for a 4.0 and got the rad ... mech fan bearing ....and electric fan ... there should be no reason you could not set it up using a serpentine belt from a 4.0 and the electric fan in the same configuration as a 4.0. It might take a bit of fab and head scratching but the front of a 2.5 is basically the same configuration? Mech fan on the left and electric on the right. Then it is all off the shelf parts, and the fan is behind the rad.

Turn your heat to high set it to defrost turn the fan to high and drive with your windows open.....it will help a bit

So I have a new to me Dakota pickup. Nice truck, but from day one the low-pressure indicator was lit. I followed the manual and every post I could find on the inter-web to clear it but it would not go out, finally I just broke down and bough a new set (4) of sensors off Amazon. I had planned on getting a new set of rims and bigger tires soon, so I set the sensors aside to use on the new set. Last week I pulled a trailer up to a remote cabin I have. The last hour of road is a bit sketchy so I wanted to be prepared. The truck has a fuul sized spare on a matching rim under the box Like my MJ. Wanting to prevent the laying in the dirt and fighting to get the spare out in the event of a flat I took it out and placed both the trailer spare and the truck spare in the box…..making sure to air them both up to proper pressure for the trip. About 20 miles into my ride I passed a radar trap…..I glanced down to check my speed….right then the pressor sensor indicator went out…..hasn’t gone on since. Are you f-bombing telling me it was the pressure in the spare the whole time???????

It would be really awesome if you could keep the area from the side door forward with a cooking/sleeping area. Just thinking.....I have a double axle travel trailer up at the lake that isn't doing anything.....

I can't see from the picture.....but does it have an under hood light? I had an 87 Larado that had one that was detachable with an auto-wind cord so it worked like a trouble light -
It is awesome Icing on the cake would be if he could somehow get the Merc exhaust to exit out the stacks.......then you would be riding in style!!

If this is the fan.... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hda-3680 It says it would only have a 8.8 amp draw. If you blew a 10 amp fuse why not try just going up to a 15 and see if that is enough

In my family it is an unwritten rule that nobody buys me tools….since they usually pick out “Gimmick” tools sold on late night TV…..My daughters boyfriend did not know and purchased me one of these… I do not know the name for them I call them “Dog Bone” wrenches. It road around in my tool bag for a couple of years before I finally used it. Now it has become one of my go-to tools (so much I grabbed another) It gives you 8 deep sockets on a swivel wrench platform…..If you had to grab one tool it would be one to go for (for scale it is about 12" long)

I am in Canada......Here they are available at Walmart and a store called Canadian Tire (and else were I would imagine) I paid $400 Canadian for the Bike and $60 for the seat So $345 American before Taxes

I am about the same size as you and I went for the "Schwinn biggity" with a Schwinn air ride seat. I like the fat tires for trail riding and so far is a beast in both sand and snow.

The part is defiantly defective no mater which way it turns the flange should not come off. Just to clear up what was said above .....the different rotation is determined by the belt not the model a 2.5 pump will fit on a 4.0 and visa versa.....a pump with a serpentine belt turns counter clockwise....a pump that is driven in a v-belt configuration turns clockwise. V belts did come with the 4.2 on old YJ's yes....but they also came on 2.5's in early XJ's and MJ's (my 87 has V's).....and with some suppliers they are the same part number.

It is a "Designer Dog" Real old english dogs are extict......to get this you take 40% English 20% English Mastiff 20% American Bulldog 20 % Pit Bull And you get the final result The last pic is her Grand mother......If you want to see a real Old English google it and look at the wiki page.....they looked more like Boxers or American Bulldogs (both cam from the original old english)

The markings fool a lot of people....Actually an Old English Bulldog (she was only 6 months old here) This turns into this ( Creed id her Grandfather)
