  1. honestly, the only thing we did was bend the hood so it would close without hitting the fanshroud, and pop out the roof and shimmed the drivers door catch a little more, it doesnt want to close (but shoot, my MJs door does the same thing and it's barely been wrecked) the door got ran into the ground earlier that day though, so alot of its problems are from that. EDIT: there's no pics of the back hatch, the fiberglass is cracked in 3 places visibly, and doesn't like to shut, modified the roof back there a bit in the roll too.

    Good news!

yesss!!!! woohoo, welcome back to one of the most BA manche-builders ever. i still love your jeep.
  3. yeah, picked it up from the shop today, cost a little more than your average windshield install but that's to be expected. got pics, as you can see there is no trim around the glass and they said not to fill it in AT ALL because with the messed up window frame and all its going to need to flex and may bust easily if the space around is filled in. pressure washed the hell out of the jeep today, only water leaks were the old ones from the door vent windows and such. ill edit with pics in a minute. PICS!
  4. damn! i paid 1400$ for a stock 89 4x4 6cyl 5spd with no AC. grr. oh well, excuse to do OBA.
  5. so did we decide an explorer rear leaf pack used intact without swapping any of my leafs over would drop the truck around 1"? cause i need new tires and don't feel like buying a new set then lifting it in 6 months and buying a new set again, so I'm gonna buy 32's so that i can do a halfassed lift to run those, then lift it more the way i want to later and still run the same tire. looking to be at about 4" in the back, but I'm also throwin in a D44 which will have thicker tubes and lift it slightly. so the question is, how much lower do explorer leafs sit than comanche leafs?
  6. hahaha, bahhhahaah, that was a great ad.
  7. you get what you pay for, those 1000 dollar kits are really complete. cept shocks. so you have to figure the cost of that in too. but the RE kit will flex like MAD.
  8. mine runs near 20 on idle, skyrockets at WOT. never hits 80 though

  10. they got a windshield in it today, we straightened that bend out of the window frame by putting a floorjack on a peice of wood level in the floor and jacking another peice of wood up to keep the frame even. they got one in it
  11. i can't beleive it slipped out, 4lo and all. :dunno: shtuff happens i guess. it looks completely BA and only costed 350$ for the rad. and windshield his old shop he went to for years with his volvo is putting it in today, said they would put one in it today no matter what, so hopefully ill get more pics post roll-over today.
  12. sheesh!!! 106$ for the pressure bottle!! i paid 45 for the bottle AND cap, and it's MOPAR from a jeep stealership.
  13. that insures you have full droop, you let the axle go all the way out, then measure. so unless your suspension is at full droop while on all 4s, your shocks will be normal
  14. hope he keeps it!?!? its his DD (still) hahaha
  15. was out at JBs a while back pickin up a new engine and some other stuff. took some pics of the MJ(ish) as it sits now. enjoy,
  16. oh yeah, he drove it (as is from the second pic) put a new rad in it, and hauled off home (95mi.) said it goes the exact same.
  17. my brother's XJ rolled down a hill yesterday... note, ROLLED. not he rolled it. it rolled. put his jeep in park on a rutted out hill (had been pulling his GF's truck up the hill and let her loose and stopped for a moment) puts it in park, hops out... started rolling down the hill, he tried to jump in it, missed, fell, fell UNDER the rolling jeep, into a rut and it flipped over him without touching him. he got a nice scare and the jeep landed quite nicely and avoided demolishing his GFs 05 ranger by about 2" noone was hurt, just alot of misplaced tools, one radiator (our third one this year between my jeep and his.not including the 2 they started with so our 5th.) and a completely shattered windshield and some reallly sexy bodydamage.
  18. haha. ohhh eagle. that is pretty heinous a thing to do. actually, not as much heinous as it is dumb as hell. he lost himself a lot of money doing that. he cuold've taken it off correctly, built a frame and sold the rolling chassis for alot more than 200 bones.
  19. i wave at DIRTY lifted YJ/TJ/CJs only, i refuse to wave to mall-crawlers. wave at all lifted XJ/MJs and all MJs, and dirty stock XJs. and i suppose any other random ba jeep i saw. but it EFFIN pisses me off when someone blows off my wave. :hateputers:
  20. dumping the clutch is commonly accepted as 'rough' on the D35... and with a posi (which it's not worth the money spent on a D35) its soon to blow as the shock has to go somewhere. i know of one club member who spun the pumpkin on the axletubes, wrapped it right around... behind a 2.5L
  21. yay! that sounds like a nice truck... perfectly optioned as far as the important stuff goes.
  22. 4.10s on stock tires would be just rediculous. mums 4.0L 2wd w/3.55s and 28"s revvs at a lil over 2000 to go 60... i would hate to run 4.10s 3.73 would be a nice center of the road gear. plenty of power without annoying top end.
  23. I'm with the beer drinkers! hell yeah! and CW too i suppose :brows:
  24. woah man! noone needs to know about your choice (or neglect) of underwear! ;) :D
