I recently had another guy offer to have some shipped to me, it ended up being almost $40 to ship which is a bit expensive for a pair of used drums. Thanks though :(
-
If anyone has a pair left over from a disc swap or something I could really use some, thanks!
-
When do you need it? You can have my non sliding for free when I swap in my sliding one.
-
I see them since I tend to meet most people in my area with cool jeeps

Haven't owned a set myself. I have wheeled with a guy who has them. Before going out I checked them out. If you just grab one of the lugs you can feel how soft it is. You can literally feel how "grippy" they are. Watching him he barely gave gas over obsticles. It's been said that pitbull rockers are the stickiest tires you can get short of competition tires. Rockers have been getting nothing but great reviews if you look on the internet and if I had the money to buy new I would certainly be picking up a set of pitbull rockers.

tundra cover installation

They fit a comanche? -
More than $50 would sound insane to me for a pair of seats unless they were leather. I paid $10 for a pair of nice 2 door XJ buckets seats and welded the sliders to my bench seat "floor brackets". If you don't have a welder you can still bolt them together. There's alot more nice XJ buckets out there than nice MJ buckets as well. You can find people throwing out XJ buckets sometimes if they upgrade to better seats.

I hesitate, but here's another brake system thread

Why not just use a XJ proportioning valve? Heck of alot easier than doing what you're talking about. :dunno: -
best place to get replacement carpet and headliner
cmelo replied to azscott's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Did you use the headliner out of the XJ? I always wondered if that would work if you trimmed it down. It would be cheap and quick to do it that way. -
FYI external slave started in 94. Might be easier to grab the whole tranny setup. Also all ax15s had the 23 spline output.

I did the swap with a WJ booster and master cylinder. Used these links: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=903934 http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=924285 Very straight forward

BCMJ87 - 1987 MJ Build Manche Blackface

What are you doing for ebrake cables after the hand brake install? I want to do it to mine as well. -
You can get Rhino grilles(from a gladiator) either on ifsja.org or ebay. You'll need CJ buckets to swap out your square headlights.

I like it but i'm a bit biased

The stock motor in an m715 is a straight six. I agree a 360 swap into an m715 would be awesome though. One more thing the gears in the M715 axles are deeper than 5.13, it's more like 5.89 or something like that. The axles also kind of stink, you're not going to want to go very fast in that heavy beast with the 4 wheel drums and manual brakes.

He could post it on ifsja.org, i'm sure some one more local would save it from destruction.
-
You could grab me some parts!
-
If it was an automatic you don't want it. The rear axle will have an offset pumpkin that is in the same position as the front. They are also passenger side drop in 79 so you won't want anything to do with them. Not to mention the front is also low pinion. Wait until you can find some ford ones.

I like it! -
My ballast resistor gets so hot it smokes. This is with a brand new one. I have yet to swap out the fuel filter and I will try that first.
