What could be causing this oil leak???
sinkrun replied to KMAPRO's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Mine leaked like that i used a newer (96 up I think) valve cover they have a full baffle in them. The one in yours now has 2 towers very poor design. I did have to re route some vac lines. There is a post on here some where on how to do it I will try to find it. When you buy one of these and there is no filter its a sure sign was blowing into your air filter it will clog them fast. -
Hi Rob, I used to resell used SLR cameras on ebay when they were worth selling they do not sell for much anymore. I still have alot of stuff left its all 35mm SLR (ones that take the different lens) all manual focus. I would have to look and see whats left I believe there`s a really nice Minolta outfit. If you would want to go the manual route let me know. I am sure I have something I can let go cheap and it will be tested before I send it out. If you want auto focus SLR go to ebay used and new canons can be had for around $100.00 now with some lens.

If he put new bearings on a really bad or out of round crank (did he say if he had the crank ground) it may very well knock with new bearings. If he did its not going to last long.

Nice find and you do nice work the trailer and the truck!

Thanks Cherokee same here everything I want is north also. Looks like Wildman is going to check it out if he can.

Hi Kevin I hope this post helps some, viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14979 It much easier to swap older Cherokee buckets 2 door one are best as they will tilt forward. Your bench has 2 brackets on each side so there are enuf brackets under there. But it has been done putting 97+ buckets in.

Been there local quack sent me home when I could hardly walk in his office. Went to the ER next day burst appendix spent 7 weeks in the hospital 3 surgeries lost a section of bowel. I am f`ed up forever. Tell him to hang in there and best of luck to him.

Mine was very simple only took about 1/2 hour of course my motor was out sitting on a stand :D can't imagine doing it in the truck.

I talked to him today and he said without me even trying to give him $400.00 and get it out of his driveway. I am just really concerned about trying to drive it 3 hours home. The one person I know with a trailer said no its to big for him to haul. Not sure how the frames hold up on these things. A little rust I can handle just need it for hauling junk for my bussiness. Around here that would be $2000.00 on a lot or more. I am leaning towards no bothering with it :dunno:

Looking at a old van on the net thought someone may be close and could save me a 6 hour trip? http://classifieds.pennswoods.net/class ... dex=554491

Will this Air Cleaner fit 87 4.0?
sinkrun replied to runner6's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think I have a extra hose for a renix if it would help $10.00 will get it to your door. -
That`s seriously funny I needed a good laugh!

Anyone on here use a inline filler neck on the top radiator hose to do away with the closed system? I would just switch to a newer radiator but the p/o had just put a new one in. I hate that mess of hoses and that plastic tank. I had found a link on the net a while back but can't find it now where a guy did one on a xj. I just need a newer style heater control valve with it right?

Super job  I just put my buckets in (replaced the bench) and used a rug scubber may have to take them back out to clean then right. Also my one does not tilt forward now I know how to fix it if I can just find a cable. Wounder if the dealer still has them? One is also missing the tilt leaver. -
Good luck

Help..no spark after motor change
sinkrun replied to sinkrun's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Great news the manche lives and breathes again.   My friend took over the job I was just to busy to keep going. He is a retired Air Force Mechanic and former Chrysler tech. It was a ground wire in the harness that comes out around the middile of the firewall and runs out to the injectors there`s a place where some smaller wires branch out of it. We had to pull this up and out of the way during the swap. I stuck it under the wiper arm to hold it. Well the wires were separated and making bad contact. He soldered them and resealed and wrapped them back up and it runs great. Nice and quite no knocks no ticking from the former exhaust manifold. I can't believe how much I missed this thing for the past couple of months. Thanks for all the help everyone! -
Try checking the wires in the harness that comes out around the middle of the firewall. I just got mine running after many many hours (you have read the post) its was where several grounds come together in that harness near the rear of the engine. This must have happened when I pulled the harness up out of the way I stuffed it under the wiper to hold it up. Good luck hope yours is up and running soon also.
