  1. I believe I have one of the older ones new never used as a spare in the xj I will have to check to be sure.
  2. Most likely the tracbar and or mount.
  3. After messing around on youtube and checking prices on ebay I am thinking of the 40 series and magnaflow cat should be around $150.00 for both. Not to bad I quess?
  4. Actually I am over 40 now and do like quiet and it is just a toy so its not driven much. However if I buy the cat and muffler from ebay its less than s stock one here. I am tired of the rice rockets up the road from me all night so I thougt why not have some fun in the morning when the stoners are in bed roaring by myself on the way to work or town.
  5. Time for new exhaust all factory 4.0 and have the money for a flow master or something of that sort. I do not want it to sound like a rice burner any suggestions also time for a new cat.
  6. There not hard to ship via UPS just wrap each one with cardboard in a few places put a label on the cardboard and mail them.
  7. Looks like maybe just a bolt broke on it but if its snapping and poping its shot. Make sure you get 97+ Cherokee one there made allot better and are a direct fit as long as its the front door the rear is different. However the rear pins and body side brackets are the same. I like to get them from the passenger side they have less ware than from the drivers side and interchange.
  8. Very cool paint job
  9. Yes only way sorry to say and make sure you replace all the freeze plugs good or bad on the motor while its out that is if you pull the motor.

    Bad Day

Well my brother in law did not have the guts to deal with me as I figured. The adjuster called and first thing he said without any mention of it from me was this trucks 23 years old we will not be fixing it it. I told right then like _____. Then went into my rant about how much moneys in this truck and what it books for. He said he had no idea they booked for so much and he would look. When he showed up he did his pictures and such and was decent then and said he would figure it up and the company would mail a check. Then I reminded him that they should as it was there ___________ customer that hit me head on. He did also mention that the truck was in really decent shape. I did detail the truck and did the finishing touches on the interior after my floor board and rocker panel job since I read on the net they look for overall condition when deciding on a price and weather or not to fix a old or classic vehicle. And he did do pictures of every side and the inside so it must matter. So now it wait to see whit to see what they give me I am thinking its around 1000.00?? I could fix it for a fraction of that myself.
  14. Would love to have a rust free in that color of green looks great!

Yea I was very shocked how well the truck came out if it wasnt for the bowed fender I could bull the bumper out and you would never know it was hit. I am hoping when I take the bumper off the fender will pop back in. I will get a pic of the truck Tuesday.

    Bad Day

I read quite often on here where members Comanches get hit and think what the chance. Well today it was my turn I was coming to a light a 18 year old or so girl in a Hyundai was looking the other way at a fire scene as she turned to come up the street I was sitting on and drove the whole way into my lane and hit me head on. I was stopped wasnt even the whole way to the signal light about a car length away. I laid on the horn and braced for what was coming. She hit me pretty hard I swear she hit the gas instead of the brake. Best thing was there was a city cop standing right along side where it happened no more than 8 feet away he witnessed the whole thing. It really messed up her car big time I have pics but need to figure out how to get them from my phone to the computer. Good thing I wasnt hurt as the cop (who told me to calm down when I yelled Stupid _____________ _____) ran to her car as did all the fireman. I think I would still be lying there don't get me wrong I like cute girls also but not when the hit my truck. Truck is not to bad, bumper is bushed back, plastic trim messed up, fenders kinked out, grill may be cracked. I have a brush guard on it and it took the most force didnt bend it that I can tell but it is loose. I almost took that guard off last week glad I didnt. She has Progressive insurance which my brother in law is a adjuster for the area. We will see if he trys to screws me. I already called him and told him if he gives me any $#!& I will fight him all the way. Were just not that close. I wish I had been in my XJ thats all rust as I just finished my rockers on my MJ took me 3 weeks just got it out today.
  18. I have always wanted to see if I could restore a aluminum wheel well here it is. I Wrangler 15x8 Canyon I bought them and 4 spacers from a girl at a local tire shop $100.00 for everything. I always wanted a set of these Canyons but around here this is what they look like, And off Ebay from a salt free state there $500.00 with shipping. This was harder than I thought the clear coat on these is the toughest stuff I have ever seen. The stripper worked well on the machined surface If you put it on and let it sit like they say. Down in the slots its painted with clear and its TOUGH if you put it on and let it sit it just gets hard again . I used airplane stripper and the only way I could get it off was to wait a few mins and scrape it with a old brass spoon I found. It does not scratch them hardly at all and you will be polishing them anyway. I did not polish the openings just wire brushed them where there was corrsion and to get the final paint off there a rough surface anyway. I tried sanding by hand with no luck I had cheap sand paper and hard aluminum and me being lazy didnt work but should if you have more ambition than I do. I used a air sander with those little 3" wheels to get every thing down below the corrosion and you not only have to get the corrosion off you have to also take all the machine marks off and make the whole surface the same. You will have to hand sand and polish them once you use the air sander at least I did just could not get the right look with the sanding disks. I am going to try to get some more pics and update this as I try to come up with better ways to get this done. This is where I am at now I need some fine paper and am going to wet sand the heck out of them with 400 and 600 and them try to figure out what to do to polish them. Best part is there are 3 more to do.
  19. I used a pre bent pan and it can up the side of the centre hump about 3" above the fuel line (XJ) so we just kept a eye on how close we were. I think we may have even used a wood block to push it away from the body.
  20. I just did mine never welded before as far as floors I just cut out what was rotted and beyond to a good solid point. I used 18GA replacement pan for one side and used a old behind the seat gas tank that was never used out of a old chevy truck for the other. Both were bead rolled which added strength I can't tell from your pics how large of a area you have to replace. I dint use any spot weld cutters for this just welded the edges but you certainly could. Floors are a great place to start as once your done no one will ever see it. Not sure how you resize the pics??
  21. And to make it worse Don they were in Alabama!
  22. I think it was a members truck maybe Wades or super wade hes not on here much anymore it was a blue truck(maybe). Anyone?
  23. No pictures but somewhere I have seen Diamond plate with black bolts or rivets neatly done. I have been thinking of this myself lately as mine is where it has to have something done soon. I did just weld rockers on and floors (first time) and used black chip guard to hide my novice work. Its going to be hard to hide novice work on the bed.
  24. I can try later to measure do you still need it? I did have a front shaft from a 4.0 auto laying around if I do I will sell it but the yoke is bad guy welded caps in place.
