I think I have one in diamond plate and one plain aluminum finish they don't work with my bed cover.

I got mine from a junkyard for $20.00 I just cut out the top if you go new you have to buy the whole thing.

There was a 70`s something jeep truck on ebay last year with under 1000 miles that sold for around $14000.00 and it was rusted bad underneath spent its life on a dirt floor in a barn.

When you do build it or buy one just make sure the tailgate will open and lay flat without hitting top of the plate as my tubing is not centered on the plate. I could make or get the steel for one here if you want pm me.

Pics of mine I made it all steel used the locking type pin so no one would steel my plate and mount. Never had any trouble with the law however I don't drive at night much and it is quite brite. It sits well behind my headrest in the back window when towing.

I did what rod said no big deal to find the original plate light wires they are under there. I bought 1/4 20 powdered coated license plate bolts with led lights built into the bolt made a really clean install. I ran the wires thru the receiver tube and used connectors I can plug and unplug when needing to remove the plate to tow. When towing the whole thing sits in the back window fine wedge it against the seat. I can get pics if you want.
