  1. We have an MJ with an Volvo D24 TIC engine still using the AW4 automatric running around here. Owner use it with an Meyer snow plow in the winter and it works good. Another friend of me have an MJ with an Nissan 2.7 TD engine and 5 speed and transfercase out of an -88 Nissan Pickup. It fits realy good only thing to remold was the radiator support and make new engine mounts in the engine bay and redo the electrics, and we made an new fuel tank to replace the rusted out original. I will try to get some pics of it soon.
  2. Where to get an proper VIN Decoder that tell me what I got? '88 MJ is nearly ok '89 MJ is wrong, I have not 3-speed automatic, column gear shift '88 XJ is wrong '89 XJ is wrong '90 XJ is wrong '91 XJ is wrong If anyone have a clue where to get the right info I will more then happy, I have searched the net for a few years now and not get the right info anywhere.
  3. Wow, a near mint condition bed, I wish my was that good. Are in the process of replacing outer skin on LWB bed, will remain about 5 inches from top, rest will be new metal.
  4. Thanks Eagle, that was what is was thinking off. Have made some measurements of the D35/10x1 3/4 backing plate and drums and the offset looked ok. The reason I need changing is my original backing plates are all rusted out and new costs a fortune. A friend bought new ones and they cost him $193 each ( special order from US ), and I have collected a few D35 over the years for cheap money, some broken but with good brakes. You are lucky in USA to have cheap parts and a lot of junk yards with cheap stuff. Here in Sweden a D30 front axel without drive shafts and knuckels cost $ 200-400 and drivshafts about $ 150 each, if you can find a j.y. that have any. Used front brake calipers $ 80-150 each and so on. But I will newer give up on my american cars, have been driving them for 40+ years now.
  5. Where can I get backing plates for D44 with 10 x 2½" brakes? Mine are rusted out. Anyone know of othe axels I can take backing plate + brakedrum and fit it on a D44. Maybe D35 with 10 x1 3/4" ( pre c-clip ) will fit with use of all brake parts. Anyone have some ideas about this? Converting to disk brake is not an option because diske brake rear end are scare here and cost a fortune at bone yards, and most of them only have european and japanese junk.
  6. Hello, I am new here but would like to order an hat for myself. Please pm me about payment.
