  1. Eagle I have an 87 TBI that seemed to work good when I ran the motor. You're welcome to it if you want it. I need to stop down sometime anyways. Any 2.5 parts you need let me know. I have no use for them and nobody seems to want them.
  2. I find that the auto front driveshafts are a little to long for a manual. They are about 1 1/2" different.
  3. What year is the MJ you are putting this all in? 1991?
  4. Ditto, Luk Gold. I have 215k on mine. It had a center force in it that still held good but the fingers were worn to the point that it was really hard to push the clutch in. When I installed the Luk I put a new complete Oem master and slave setup in along with new throw out bearing and pilot bearing. The clutch and flywheel I actually picked up used with 800 miles on it out of a wreck for $100. It wasn't babied either. Knoxville TN to Winsted CT pulling a 1981 VW westfalia camper. Dale City VA to Winsted CT pulling a 1989 Comanche with no 1st gear in the 98 XJ that the clutch is in. 40k with no 1st gear. Towing a half dozen or so XJ's and MJ's locally. Plus wheeling it occaisonally. Has 431k now on the original motor. 1st AX15 lasted 340k.
  5. My 92's wheel had a big wear spot in it at 101k when I bought it. The interior was filthy. The original owner used it as a work truck around his property. Suspension was sagged bad too. No plowing though.
  6. That's the same wheel I have. Except I have a tan interior, with black seats and a grey headliner. Lol
  7. My Comanche has a Wagoneer Limited wheel with the bolts in it that is a fully wrapped three spoke. I think they changed to smooth horn buttons in 91. I haven't had any 91's but all my 92's and up are smooth.
  8. All xj shackles are the same. Find the best ones you can. Buy new if they are available.
  9. Detours backbone under your stock bumper. Has winch mount, D ring tabs and an optional light bar. Detoursusa.com
  10. Crown Vic interceptors get serviced in the garage I go to. They also have built in fire extinguishers.
  11. I have run 1qt MMO with 5 qts oil. No harm done that i can tell. It did get a little quieter.
  12. Chrysler is getting hit real hard about the ZJ,WJ and KJ fuel tanks. Their initial effort on getting the vehicles recalled and inspected was deemed insufficiant by the NHSTA. Chrysler had to step up their effort to get the vehicles in and repaired. NHSTA basically said that your jeep is about the same as an early Pinto is for rear crash worthiness.
  13. I'm surprised that there isn't somebody doing this with XJ's yet. But I'm sure there will be.
  14. $25 for the pair plus the ride in a flat rate box sound ok?
  15. To bad you weren't a lot closer. I'd take those 2000 XJ assemblies off your hands. I'm willing to take the stubs if you don't mind parting them out.
  16. Take your ground wires off your dipstic stud. Using an external torx tighten the stud or you can use a wrench on the fixed nut. Now put your ground wires back on and put nut on the stud and tighten it down finger tight. Now put the external torx on the end of the stud to hold it from spinning and tighten the nut against the grounds. It does not have to be extreamly tight.
  17. Yes all comanche doors will work. You'll want to bring a 15 mm socket for the bumper brackets. There will be 3 bolts on each frame rail. It's easier to pull the bumper with the brackets still attached.
  18. The axle sits on the main leaf. Any leaf that's added is below the main leaf and just adds thickness to the leaf therefore it doesn't lower the truck. The only thing it does is decrease clearance under the springs. The only thing that would lower it is putting blocks between the spring perch and main leaf.
  19. When removing the bell housing bolts always start with the top two torx bolts first. There will be less tension on them then.
  20. Vortec intake requires a cowl induction type hood or a Thunderbolt type blister. It sticks up a little to far. If he's running the Novak radiator he shouldn't be having any trouble keeping it cool.
  21. Nice, needs a car intake though so you can put a hood on it.
  22. That truck is not rough. I don't think my truck is to rough for the northeeast but I think it's way rougher than that. Nice find.
  23. Just a push in the middle, no slamming, no babying. If you love her, lube her.
  24. Tailgate should shut easily without opening the handle. Lube the latches and handle, soak them real good and move them back and forth while you are doing it.
  25. iaai.com also has 6 more Comanches on their site. 1 92 and 2 91's. 1 is an Eliminator with a clean looking bed. It's located in Boise Idaho.
