  1. honestly if your buying new or reman i would go with novak over auto zone. they will be able to ensure you have all you need for your project. go to zone for wiperblades and pads. maybe a sticker or two.
  2. a 91 ax15 will be a perfect internal slave swap candidate.
  3. ok you have an 88 mj. so you want any parts for an 87-96 xj/mj era. now factory for your jeep offered an internal slave set up. now you want this ideally unless you want to upgrade to a easier maintained external slave set up which has an internal fork so that the slave cylinder is easily serviceable and mounted on outside of bellhousing and get at from under the jeep without having to pull tranny to swap out a bad slave. now external bellhousing are different and can be found in the 95+ era xjs. the big difference between the two are the input shafts diameter. one being smaller then the other. the later year ax15s had a almost 3/4" size shaft and will not fit inside the crankshaft hole thats in the engine. a cj7 bushing from 80' would be needed to do so. and or a bronze bushing would be needed to allow you to run the smaller shafted and older ax15 when mated to a later year 4.0 which will have a larger pilot hole in the crank. so that being said if you already have a new engine with 88' specs then you should continue to build off that and look for parts for 87-94 mj/xj internal slave set up. goes to the flywheel as well, need that renix manual era flywheel to be read correctly from a renix cps. then you will most likely want to install a 23 spline 231j tcase with or without sye. i think i got your questions. ask away though I'm here.
  4. what do you have questions about yet? i have done this swap a few times meself so perhaps i could help.
  5. so install leafs and run it. cheaper to get you going now and always link later easy enough if decide you want more out of what your getting.
  6. their is an art or skill in flipping trucks and only taking pics. good quality pics sells a lot of cars
  7. well maintained, perfect example of taking care of your ride and it will take care of you and get you where you wanna go. or your just smart and know the more you do to it the more you'll have to mess with and could fail along the way. i see you are smart enough to get a solid recovery tank. nice upgrade. solid rig and appreciate you being apart of the club and being here to show what my truck started life like before i started driving it.
  8. ok cool. i just need a reference pic of the standard pedals pivot point. thanks I would appreciate that. and get over there and get some work done on it. to much fun not to to be driving the MJ around.
  9. sweet, your kitty is all better .
  10. moustiure build up when plowing is very feasible. even going through a mud hole i get same symptoms. my cps is due to be changed as well. i have a brand new in parts box. might as well get it changed i reckon, said to be 38* today. good day to work outside.
  11. i would have checked coil first. yeah verify spark. cps controls when it sparks as well when the fuel is injected. however I'm thinking you should have spark as it has started for you just hit and miss. perhaps a weak spark or carbon build up under cap, so check there as well. need good spark at the right time to keep running eh.
  12. darn i say "china"

  18. your call but know it will be easier to remember you if you rob a gas station.
  19. you plug it into your house.
  20. yeah do title asap as will take a bot to process and get mailed to you. so good plan.
  21. i always damage the hole.
  22. flash $800 and walk away at sold.
  23. did you resurface the drive plate?
  24. those are nice. way better then my duct tape wrap.
  25. novice ha. been there and in fact never even used what you have there. so I'm no help on working that tool. but i say pick up a cps and swap it out as as a newb myself that what someone told me to do so i learned about the factory external torxs 10m bolts that bolted on the crank positioning sensor to the 11 o clock position on the back side of the engine where you could use 28.5" extension on a rachet and slowly turning counterclockwise to get the bolt to pop with release and you swap these bolts out a standard bolt head type and install a $30-$50 Cps that are known to be common failures amongst the 87-96 era xjs and mjs, so the idea being as a newb you are just hoping and swapping parts that it might fix your jeep, being a costly expense if it in turn doesn't fix said problem. now however in my 14years experience learned i did not waste money buying a cps as i have a few times swap out the cps as i have been stranded like you in the middle of the trails of nowhere . so a safe bet as good spare. however with electrical gremlins still found in our MJs it is best to learn how to use the muti-meter tool for it is only to our advantage. i will do so with you now. i wanna say it has the volts be.5 seems legit.
