  3. Well with Dune Coon's help, got the ube on tonight. Got the 8.8 up on jack stands Me... Dune Coon... Did a little grinding on the UBE to get that snug fit... A little touch up to better suit Dune Coon... Now some measuring... Measured off Dune Coon's Jeep Pinion angle was set at 88* Cut off axles mounts for emergency brake cable bing they hit the UBE, being the width was center to center spring bolt hole, 43 3/8" Then spot welded to keep UBE from tweaking... Now for a full weld... Then the rest of them... 1 1/2" spring under???? @#$% no!! Shock mounts pretty much kept in stock position up on axle... lined them up in the middle with the outside edge of UBE.. Done @#$%er... Dune Coon Customs Have to give thanks to Dune Coon for he is a busy guy, but he has helped me out when needed. And even more being that the same time last year he helped me put perches on this same 8.8 and put it under my MJ. So Thanks again Dune Coon. :beerbang:

  5. Got some pics not much of a write up, but going to do one when I swap in the AX-15.
  6. My girl is an Assitant Manager at Wal-Mart.
  7. Yeah trailer no doubt, I drove my baby home from Fl to MI with 220+ and had to replace fuel pump due to a souther boy cutting a hole in tank to clean it then don't know how to weld at that, and had to replace the steering pump. that was a trip with just that and that was't after a trail outing so I hear all that. But like I said to be safe or save some gas?, better to be safe.
  8. Find a mechanic? What? you did not just say that did you? And get AAA, it's what I got and its great, tow anywhere is covered.
  9. Yeah it has the stubby adjustable wrench and the stubby reversable rachet, the 1/4 and 1/2 inch drives. Got it on sale for $15 from $30 and used it plenty all ready.
  10. I always refer to $500MJ cause it is a nice setup and simple... http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... c&start=75
  11. pack and roll works good. But I'm the same way, but it's because my buddies use my tools and never put them back in the same spot. But I got me one of those 74pcs hand held pack of tools, for those quick and simple jobs and I keep it under the seat for quck access. Works great got it from Sears,
  12. :D My hat is bigger than my dog... Image Not Found
  13. Break it in! Better yet buy another just for the rain and Mud. :brows:
  14. :clapping: So pretty!
  15. All those hats out, now where are those Pics? And Pete where is yours at?
  16. You shouldn't buy it. Don't do it. Cause I wanna buy it. :D
  17. Yeah you may pay alittle more in gas but if you break down then how much for towing it back if had too? I'm not trailering mine but I pray I won't break anything, but If I do, then I will figure something out but that's me and I don't have the option to trailer her down either. To me though you should be able to drive you rig on the road and be able to go any where with it off road. I'm big on maintaining that DD weekend worrier idea. So the choice is yours, to be safe or save a little in gas?
  18. Still not as dirty as you were. Got to take down some better dirt roads.
  19. Ever get your truck that dirty? :brows:
  20. late show midnight.
  21. yEAH what I figured she looks good, you not so much, but the hat does help. :D
  22. What's the matter don't know how to load your rig on a trailer? :teehee:
  23. 1) Pull the fenders 2) unbolt the hinges 3) cut the bottom section of hinge that on side that attaches to the door. 5) Once cut, hammer fender side hinge down until it sepreates from the pin 6) Mount hinge back on with bolts, or if hinge is tearing away from fender like a can of tuna, weld it back on like yeh, and prep the metal for rust unlike me... 7) mount fender 8) lube pins with 3-1 oil/ WD/etc. and slide doors on 9) latch somehow 10) Enjoy!
  24. She looks good. I always wanted a J10, was to be my next build but girl said if I build jeep up then I have to build up a muscle car for her.
