Hey man... It's called a project for a reason,,, Waiting to mill a piece for the xj double booster,, need to get/ find a clutch mc.. then bleed everything.. Have some newer xj doors to put on,,, have a lot of sanding off flaking clear then paint,,, thats about it for now,,, summer should be fun!! Good deal look forward towards your build, you know I have to live through you MJ now that mine is gone. :cry:

I asked the guy at quadatrac and he said the d ring mount comes attached to the bumper is this not the case? I even asked him because it said it was an option but he said k=no it comes attched to the bumper. :dunno:

You could find a box good enough to cut out the peice you need not nessasarily a rust free one, no one would want to allow that. But I'd say just cut a peiece out from a cherokee, from the door or rear quarter, then weld her in and go from there. Sheet metal could work as well. Buddy of mine just replaced a peice in his rockers and you can't tell the difference. I would just cut 1" out side the rust area for your peice.

I got them from a link to EBAY another member here posted up a month or so back. Maybe try a search on EBAY for them. I agree guys, its is too light a bracket. But it was a quick install. Did it all in an hour last night. I do like the fact that it can be seen over the hood and from a distance really dosen't look as obtrusive. I was looking at it again this am and think I may be able to use a 6" piece of large 4" angle iron for beefier bracket. This will allow the it to be mounted lower and closer to the jeep.... Its a work in progress.
