  1. yeah, I really like the look of the 2dr. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
  2. lemme see a shot of the carpets pulled back
  3. I don't know for sure but I kinda doubt they are the same part number (88 ba10 vs 90 ax-15), but I retained my peugeot flywheel and clutch with my 2000 AX-15 swap.
  4. good stuff! no love for the flares?
  5. does yours need to be factory? there are way better ones in the junkyards on other trucks.
  6. 1: it's complicated and much of the detail is lost to time. (basically MJ sales numbers were slipping plus the XJ was profitable and popular meaning each MJ made was a loss of the profit that the spot on the assembly line could have brought if it contained an XJ) 2: it's complicated and everything is a guess. careful about that list of production numbers, as it shows 1985 and so is likely a list of calendar year numbers rather than model year numbers. Meaning that more than 952 1992 MJs were made because some were made in 1991. edit: found the other list of numbers:
  7. the multimeter will do way more, but I love the test light for probing since it's a one-hand operation.
  8. do you have a self-ranging multimeter and test light?
  9. because of the wild variation in spring sag in old leafs, there's no exact plan for that, but you can use any SUA truck from the junkyard that has the same width leafs (2.5"?) and mix and match 'til you find what you want. Dakotas, S-10s and F-150s come to mind.
  10. should be easy enough to math it out. measure the eye to eye on each, subtract to gee the difference, then divide by 2 and you'll get the lift you received.
  11. ok, so longer than stock XJ. just wanted to clarify since stock XJ shackles will lower an MJ.
  12. looks fantastic in a uniform color are you thinking of using prerunner style bumpers?
  13. MJ with a J-truck vibe:
  14. can you peek in and see the flywheel teeth?
  15. that's a TON of arch in those leafpacks! (pun intended) I'd imagine they will settle if you throw a bunch of weight in the bed for a while.
  16. maybe start with 1.75" or 2" pucks up front and see how level it is. the longer shackles only lift the rear like an inch. WJ arms are the key upgrade. uppers can also be used though.
  17. Ask over in the Tech forum. not everyone looks at the builds every day and so that way more eyes will see your question.
  18. great finds!! such a clean interior! most 31s will technically fit a stock 4wd MJ with rubbing on the control arms at full lock. My thoughts on 31s would be a 2" spacer/shackle lift (just a tiny bump so you can retain all the factory parts up front) but with WJ lower control arms (they have a bend for tire clearance and are better built in every way).
  19. factory leafs will all have matching ends. usually AALs have just square cut ends. a pic will let us know for sure.
  20. there are some 97+ swap writeups in the link in my sig. I'm sure one of them will have a wire harness pinout.
  21. I would pull the seats out and go to town with carpet cleaner (chances are that it's in need of a good cleaning anyway, right?). then hose everything down with fabreeze and let dry. While you're there, check under your carpet for moisture.
  22. My mom's dad saw the 70th anniversary and would have loved to be around for this one for sure. He came ashore a couple days after D-day attached to an engineering battalion building/rebuilding bridges for the rest of the war. He wore his WW2 hat everywhere the last couple decades of his life. My dad's dad fought in the Pacific. I don't know much about his experience except for the last day of active participation in the war when his platoon got ambushed and he took a round to the gut and one through the wrist, but the BAR he was holding took 2 more rounds that were meant for him.
