that's... pretty rough. still fixable though
  3. that's a new one by me. I imagine opening it up will make things obvious.
  4. the inner fender liner isn't the most important thing in the world. truck looks great!
  5. congrats! I'm happy when I can string together a couple paragraphs and remain on topic.
  6. this one? https://www.amazon.com/Deep-Space-Dream-D-LAWS-ebook/dp/B08K3RXRVD#ace-g9859629705
  7. so my sniffer narrowed down the weird electrical burning smell to the alternator. 20 minutes and the alt from my spare motor is on now and sure enough, not only is the burning smell gone, but the squeak is gone too! I'd say 2 birds, one stone, but it was the same bird causing both problems. sooooo glad I didn't try to drive the Libby to the junkyards today.
  8. go to the Registry subforum and find your truck's year. then simply start a new thread with the VIN as the title.
  9. when you have 10 total posts, the classifieds will open up to you.
  10. looks good! plus I'm a huge fan of anything that helps protect the A-pillar.

awww, that code list isn't very long at all. thanks a lot chrysler there's still a chance that your original paper sheet is still in the truck. common places are in the drivers door, behind the rear carpet, up inside the bench seat, or even stuffed up in the pass side of the dash.
  12. owning old 4x4s can be one of life's best teachers
  13. but I did learn that the faint weird burning smell coming from under the hood of the Liberty is my alternator. yay.
  14. even after it was removed? meaning it's broken?
  15. even the seatbelts were either broken or non-AMC
  16. I did see a very nice 83 ford Escort though. brown on tan on brown.
  17. all that remained were damaged
  18. what a waste of gas. that poor thing was thrashed, trashed, junked, stripped and left exposed to the elements. V6/auto/2door that was painted with house paint and a brush.

think that bed will fit in a USPS flatrate box?
  23. can't get much better than a mech fan with a shroud and new clutch. that clutch was what finally cured my Liberty of heating up on hills or pulling a trailer. even with the e-fan on full blast it would creep up higher when the engine was being pushed. not anymore as for the e-fan, if you put it on a switch, just make sure it's got a relay in between.
  24. I guess if I was starting from scratch I'd probably do an open too. I'd also take the opportunity to eliminate the heater control valve and go the 97+ route with those hoses. making it difficult for people to properly dispose of things practically encourages them to just dump it in the woods.
