300 (minus caps) for whichever you feel is the nicest one. if you don't want to come browse the rest of my stuff, my folks are heading to Tryon in like a week and I'd wager I can get them to bring it along.

how well it's been treated matters more than anything else.

I can't even imagine being an OG owner. like, no other owners have screwed up my wiring, or forgotten to change the oil for 20k, or jumped it and tweaked the frame and hid it under some underspray. congrats! I'm super jealous!

87-92 Tail light harness connector source!
Pete M replied to schardein's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
offhand I don't know for sure. 86 has a lot of weirdness. but it should be fairly easy to test each with a multimeter or test light. it'll have the same 5 wires as the plug above. -
stop and go traffic will absolutely kill mpgs.

no idea what has changed, but the Jeep is out of the "limp mode" that has been plaguing it for literal years. I don't think it was a legit computer-induced limp mode, but it has had lots of issues with choking hard from heavy throttle at lower speeds. except yesterday and today it performed flawless. I do hate problems that "fix" themselves.

tinted windows doesn't refer to what we normally think of with the plastic sheet stuck to it, it's just that the glass has a slight tint built into it. as soon as you see a plain glass window you'll instantly understand. GEC is likely a reused code and those words apply to a later model Chrysler product. and those 3 letter codes aren't abbreviations, they are just random letters. there should be WAY more codes for your truck, but a ton of data for the AMC years was lost before they got into the chrysler computer system. if you go look at a 92's build sheet you'll see what I mean.

we've been watching a McDonalds get slowly built over the last few weeks (it's on the way back to his house from preschool) and I promised we'd swing by for an ice cream the day they opened. today was that day

the AMC addiction is real -
blew the ring/pinion gear teeth running 30" tires on a 2wd 4.0/stick daily driver. ended up bending the axle. though that might have been due to the next half mile of driving since there's no way I was walking the rest of the way to work if the truck still technically moved. lol

well done good sir! she will be waiting patiently for you upon your return (just be sure the mice can't get to her!)

out of curiosity, is your front axle a 99 or a 99 1/2? it only matters when you get to doing brakes. I recently discovered this tidbit after installing what turned out to be a 99.5 into a friend's truck. 99.5 take 2000+ rotors for some stupid reason.

I think there's a wiring diagram for that in the link in my signature?

what's this little hole in the cluster for?
Pete M replied to Pete M's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
ahhh... gotcha. I'll set it aside and see if any of my HO clusters are naked later on.
