Oh I was never going to buy it. I just brought the camera along to snap pics for Brett of XJ/MJ doors if I spied any good ones. I think I might bring the camera every time from now on. :D

try car-part.com and search for MJ specific stuff likt tailights and rear axles and such. Then call the yards that show up and ask if the headliner is still in the truck.

If this is all it's cracked up to be, I can borrow the Libby and trailer for a trip. :D Keep me posted.

Don't fret about the short outdoor lifespan of the magnets, there are bumper stickers headed towards my house as we speak, er, type. :D The magnets will be simply for handing out or leaving on trucks you see in parking lots.

We need those magnets! Should be all ready by the end of this week. :D

The Peugeot does not share a bellhousing with the AX-15. But as Eagle said, the AX-15s should all share the same bellhousings (aside from the external and internal designs). If it's just a crack, can't he get the bellhousing welded back together?

It depends on which Cherokee seats you start with. I'm guessing you started with plain-jane seats that just slide forward and backward?

Yeah, vibrations from what? My driveshaft wasn't even balanced when it was shortened and my ujoint angles are all wrong. No vibes at all from it. All I did was replace the U-joints. (U-joints don't like it when you change their operating angles) Has anyone here had vibes from a rear MJ driveshaft?

Nope, sorry I didn't get anything. The bracket is just a chunk of flat steel and I drilled holes where things lined up.

Depends on what he means by "seat bracket". Are you talking about the floor bracket? MJs and XJs don't share them at all. Do you mean the track? Then 2door and 4door XJ share the same track types. The big difference between 2 and 4 doors is that only 2door XJ seats will fold forward to let you gain access to behind the seat. Avoid the curved and power XJ seats unless you want a challange.

As far as I can tell, yes, they both use the same floor brackets.

My t-case is about a half inch from the body and I've never had it make contact to date.

Yes, my 90 MJ has non-functioning A/C in it. But the kit I have was apparently designed to go into a non-A/C truck. I got if off my neighbor's son and he got it in a cardboard box in the bed of the MJ he bought. No idea how old the kit is. I'll dig it up tonight and see if there's a manufacturer's tag or instructions anywhere (it's been a couple years since I last looked at it). I do remember it contains a new heater core box and new under dash contols as well as everything under the hood (including the engine bracket). In the interim, I recommend a 12volt fan. :D

Yup, always a beater. The rockers are toast, the bed has plenty of poorly-repaired rot, the frame is rusting from the inside-out, it's just not worth the time and money to fix everything. :wall: Anyone in his right mine would haul its 210k-mile-butt to the junkyard. But not me. :roll: I paid money for it. I'm swapping in new axles, t-case, etc and hopefully a new A/C system (which has been waiting patiently in a box in my garage for several years now). All I want out of this MJ is a reletively comfortable ride around town. This means functional A/C, good brakes, and no stones hitting me in the shins. Everything else is just me having fun with my new project. :thumbsup: Later on when I have spare money lying around, I'd really like to go out west and bring home a rust-free MJ to fix up for summer-only driving. :driving: I know that some metals react funny when they come in contact, but I'm quite certain there will be a thick layer of glue or other sealer between the rust, er I mean steel, and the aluminum if that's what I use. In the garage I also have a bit of galvanized sheetmetal I could use. It's pretty stiff stuff though and hard to shape.
