  1. Just think of all the gas you could be saving! You-->
  2. Post up pics of your Comanche Club stickers/decals!! :D (mostly so I can keep track of who's recieved theirs)
  3. Oh, I seriously doubt Rick has "left". He just happens to be MJ-less at the moment because the Vermint sold before he found he new baby. Heck, he'd be here way more often if he wasn't working 2 jobs. Hey Rick, you can be a foster parent to one of mine in the interim! :brows:
  4. I made mine into a money pit. :D
  5. Temp switch in the radiator? Then what's the temp switch in my 88's lower radiator hose? :hmm:
  6. Isn't there some kind of a vacuum line diagram on an emissions sticker in the engine compartment? :dunno:
  7. Have you sent him a PM or email?
  8. :driving:
  9. I'm the same. First vehicle, first Jeep. The PO stood in the driveway with a tear in his eye, staring longingly at what was his MJ. My MJ was built May '89, I was born Aug '89 :) That has NEVER happened to me. Most owners were HAPPY to see it go. :D Of course, everyone I bought one from was owner #2, 3, 4, maybe #5 or more. :D
  10. I too fabbed up a splash guard out of sheetmetal.
  11. I don't see how flushing will remove a clog. Won't the water just flow through the unclogged ports? :dunno:
  12. Few repairs on my Jeeps are ever simple. :headpop:
  13. or a pass drop with a Dana 300. :D
  14. Just in case anyone reading this doesn't already know, if your track bar fails, you lose your steering. :driving:
  15. As a Dakota owner, I know all too well how we take a backseat to the S-10s and Rangers in the aftermarket. Good thing my truck kicks all their butts without any mods. :D (except for the Syclone of course)
  16. Should be less than 200 rpm difference on the freeway.
  17. Be very careful about mixing green and orange antifreeze. Very VERY bad stuff happens to your engine when they interact with each other. I don't know for sure if that applies to all greens and all oranges these days, but when the orange stuff first came out, people were destroying their engines when they topped off the antifreeze in their new cars with green stuff. If you want to swap over, make sure the flush is very, very, VERY thorough. P.S. open-style radiator systems are overrated. :D
  18. Probably the problem then. :D Take the opportunity to grab yourself a radiator from a later model XJ as that gives you a radiator cap to help with filling the system.
  19. How old is the radiator?
  20. :typing: See, if you were to read the first post, you'd see that you guys are supposed to send me your info (address and a list of what you want) in an email or private message, and then I reply back with my info (address and/or paypay addy). That way no spammers can see any personal info and I can keep all of this chaos semi-organized. :papers: If you send me an email, don't forget to include you screen name somewhere. While we're on this topic, I figure I should let you al know that I'm pulliong out all the stops to keep everything straight. I've got an excel speadsheet set up to keep track of address and numbers, as well as a word document to save all the messages and replies. Also, I'm working on a Canadian flag MJ sticker but don't know when I'll get my bitmap image back after it's been vectorized (that's a conversion process to make the picture use-able for the sticker-making guys). It's being done for free, so I have to be patient.
  21. If you're spending all that money on regearing, I highly recommend 4.88s. :D Your 2.5 will thank you.
  22. Those types of spacers are illegal here in Michigan.
  23. You wish! I did plumbing work at 2 different houses to raise funds for those tires. and I HATE plumbing! Especially clogged drains. :ack:
  24. :needpics:
  25. The leading theory is that Chrysler already had a small truck (the dakota) and didn't need two.
