I've tried that but nothing changed, so I went back and reinstalled it. No change. I've screwed around with every setting I can find and there's no change. :mad:

Anyone else ever have trouble viewing youtube movies? All I get is a big blue 'Q' with a question mark over it. Quicktime sucks. :hateputers:

After flipping the buckets around, they were still this far off on my truck: and they bowed the coil forward too. I made some wedges to fix the bow and then later on I cut and angled the bump stop tower to match the axle. if i could find one, what year would be ideal Depends if you want to use the Ford radius arm suspension. The 75-77 F-150 has welded-on radius arm mounts and they are easy to cut off. The 78-79 F-150 and fullsize Bronco have cast-in mounts that are pretty much impossible to remove. The 77 and earlier Broncos have narrower "Jeep-width" axles, but are low pinion front and have weaker 9" rear axles. In 1980, the F-150 and Bronco went to the TTB front axle.

There's nothing wrong with 235s and 3.73s. Heck, 2.5L Jeeps came with 225 or even 215 and 4.10s. :D The extra gearing sure makes the truck more fun to drive.

I paid a bit more for my parts-Bronco, but it had with the same striping. :D

It's from 85/86. Seems to be some sort of magazine insert since it folds up to 8.5x11 and has info on both sides. :dunno:

Carly just can't get enough of the A/C. She will sit there half-asleep for long periods of time just sniffing away.:nuts: My other dog could not care less. Both like sniffing out an open window.

I wired my fan to a switch (through a relay) and I leave it on all the time. It won't hurt the fan, but you should probably still find out why it's doing that. Ya never know when it might decide to stop coming on. (that's what prompted me to wire in the switch) :D

It's tougher than you think when you have the little shade thingies at the top of the window. :roll:

Halfdoors would have come in handy when I couldn't open the door due to mud/trees/canyon walls/etc. :roll:

Before you pay someone to work on it, try some of the easy stuff, like cleaning the throttle body, giving it a basic tuneup, etc. Stumbling is not generally a problem with the engine block, but rather a fuel or spark delivery issue. If you don't fix the problem now, you will still have it after swapping in the new block and will have wasted a ton of money in the process. The 4.0L is a very tough engine and has proven time and time again that it can go way beyond 200k. And lifting the truck will not kill your engine. Ever.

Don't forget to find out whether or not the 6 bolt pattern will fit inside the explorer disk brakes. The 8.8 flange fits very snugly inside of the rotor.

http://www.bayauto.com shows a couple 95 wrangler front ends for $143 and $110. The cheaper one is listed as 4.10 so you should be able to recoup your money by selling the housing. It's a 3 hour drive from you though... :(

I had a discussion recently with a potential buyer of one of my 8.8s and he wanted to do the same thing, but after I gave him the flange diameter he said the explorer flange is just not wide enough. :(

It was a great group back then too (albeit smaller). I bought another Jeep (90 MJ) with the expressed purpose of making it the DD and so the 88 would forever more be my offroad toy. I think it's a good plan. :thumbsup: But I would still recommend keeping your MJ street registered if at all possible. In my neck of the woods it makes all the difference in the world when dealing with the cops about that hunk of rust that never seems to move. :D She's licensed and registered and on private property.

Apparently I got mine before the rest of the world found out about them. :D But on the subject of MJ paraphernalia, I just got my hands on this 2'x3' poster: And no, those aren't pushpins holding it up. Those are pushpin-shaped magnets and I attached some small pieces of metal to the wall first. I thought I snapped a pic of the backside of the poster, but I can't find it. I'll get that up asap.
