  1. A good front bumper is pretty much mandatory for me and I used 1/4" plate for the brackets and they also work as a frame brace.
  2. Co2 is da bomb! :D I love bringing along my impact wrench for changing tires. I use Uni-strut C-channel and then the corresponding pipe brackets. I got the channel from the scrap yard and the brackets from mcmaster.com You can't see it in this pic, but there's a short piece of channel at the bottom too.
  3. Andy, are you talking about using an MJ valve or an XJ valve? This is my plugged MJ combo valve. Notice I originally tried to use the wrong port.
  4. Soooo, this could probably be moved over to the classifieds then, yes?
  5. I consider spacers to worthless on an MPI engine until someone can tell me why it produces more power. Bored out TBs can produce good results and if you're flowing more air, feel free to bump up a bit in Injector size. Aren't Mustang 5.0L injectors a tad bit bigger than the HOs?
  6. You might be mishearing. It's a common upgrade to weld the tubes to the housing.
  7. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Do not remove the overload! It doesn't inhibit flex much at all and goes a long way towards fighting spring-wrap.
  8. I would ignore it for the time being then. Just keep track of your mileage. Fill 'er up every 200 miles and you should be golden. Or ignore it completely and just have a gallon container of gas in the bed. :D
  9. I wonder why... :hmm:

    unhappiness

I'm hoping to go tomorrow or Friday. If you want one, zap me an email and we'll iron out a schedule. petermontie@hotmail.com I noticed that the v8 ones were $89 and the V6 ones were $99.
  11. Adding pics is real easy once you get the hang of it. First you need to host them at another site like Comanche Club Image Hosting. Follow their instructions to upload your pics and then get the picture's internet address. Then copy that addy and go to the forums. You can add them into your post by pasting the address, then highlight it, then click on the IMG tag. Then the picture should appear in your post. :-)
  12. I think my arm is out of a TJ. About 1" lower than XJ/MJ. But practically none of my steering is stock MJ (in parts or design), so I can't really comment more than that.
  13. I love my ford radius arms, but they can be a hard sell to most people. :(
  14. The only thing cool about my Libby is the big CRD on the back gate. (well, that and the fact that it's dad's so I'm not making any payments :D)

Don't talk to Casey. I see eight 3.73 8.8s they list as "complete". The ones labeled D4 should be the posi ones. Whatever you do, demand that they pop the cover so you can inspect it on the spot. The one time I didn't do that, I bought an axle that was in a crash and had a bent shaft. :( But every axle I've purchased from them has been complete with brakes. I was actually planning a trip down to them for some other parts. What city were you in? Maybe I can bring it to you. :D
  16. What size tires are you looking to run? Is this just a 4wd daily driver or more of a trail blazer?
  17. Be very careful though. Start with the engine cold (rather than hot), use a towel to cover the sensor hole, and have someone ready to kill the engine. And don't forget to wear eye protection! Antifreeze can come squirting out when you least expect it.
  18. Park the truck downhill (or raise up the rear on stands) and bleed the air out the temp sensor located at the back/top of the engine.
  19. Do you hear the click when you try to turn on the hi-beams? I never had his on my 88 until I noticed that the little bar that runs down the column wasn't moving the switch enough to engage it. A little bit of finagling with it and now I have hi-beams at my command. :D
  20. Ahhhh, of course! That never would have crossed my mind. Good eye! :D
  21. Don't copy that page addy. Instead, right click on the image and either "copy image location" if you have Firefox, or click on properties and copy the location if you use IE.
  22. I don't know all the ins and outs of suspension design, but I do know that the tranny crossmember wasn't designed to take the forces of lower control arms.
  23. I don't understand. I can't see it in your post, but the photo seems to work just fine when I simply quote you.:hmm:

    lion,s back closed

I drove by lions back a few years ago and wasn't very impressed. It's not the tallest, not the steepest, nor the narrowest fin in Moab. But it is tall, steep, narrow, and most importantly, right next to the road. I'm certain its location has everything to do with its popularity. Plus it helps if people occasionally fall off it in spectacular fashion while being filmed. :D Frankly I won't miss it.
