Truck is on hold for a couple more days, then I can attack the brake problem. Aside from the fact that I can't stop, she seems ready enough for some local wheeling. :roll:

Oh, and she sounds wicked mean with the new muffler. :D It doesn't fit, but it was free. The old one had a small hole in it.

I knew it'd be an easy fix. Just had to figure out the rats nest of wires. Turns out it was just corrosion in the wire feeding juice to the coil. Rewired it and now she still sucks, but not as much as before. :D Still backfires and still coughs and sputters if you give it too much gas too fast. But at least she runs again enough to putter across the street and around the parking lot (gotta move my trucks once a month to please the local code enforcer). I'm going to finish installing the new spark plugs to see if it makes any difference.

Yup, 24 hours of driving for the round trip and we'll be there for 2 whole days. Yippee. :roll: But I'm just tagging along with my parents so at least I'm not paying for the diesel. :brows: But it is a big weekend for me, as I'll get to see my newest MJ for the first time. :D Meeting will likely be tough unless you can come to me.

Absolutely. If you don't fix the root cause, you haven't fixed the problem. :cheers: Although, with 2 of my trucks, I'm just going to rip out the carpet, fix the floor as best I can, then line it with hurculiner, and then not reinstall the carpet.

The main ECU will probably be fine, but I've read that you'll need to address the pilot bearing/bushing. I forget who did that recently (I think they installed an engine that used to have anu auto behind it into a manual equipped truck), but they eventually needed to make a custom one (or alter a stock bushing or something along those lines)

In my 3 trucks, I've battled 6 leaks on the drivers side, and 2 on the passenger side. None directly related to the drivers feet. Although, it is possible for the drivers foot to wear a hole through the carpet. That would allow water to get past the rubberized carpet backing.

I should be down for like the 3rd and 4th.

Compared with v6 Libby owners I know, the CRD Libby easily makes up for any extra cost at fillup. :D

What slick pickup? There's nothing but schmucks left. :( Having said that, maybe the schmucks will actually perform, unlike the supposed-to-be-awesome guys that I had last week. :roll: I'm reasonably pleased with the team I scrounged together. Might have a chance if they can produce. :thumbsup:

So let me get this stright, you found a completely rust free MJ and you're going to... strip it? There's got to be something against that in the by-laws...

You need to ride around the block on mine then. Anything over 5mph becomes painful to your kidneys. Of course, they well used and I don't think they'd ever seen pavement before.

I haven't gotten one in a while, but I seem to remember they run 50-60 bucks. Go to your local tire store.

Anytime lift is added, the steering goes out of whack. You'll need to get that addressed or you'll wear out your tires pretty fast.
