  1. Hey guys guess what I found at the local pick and pull three weeks ago. There were 4 Comanches there and I didn't have time to pull anything off other than this....... drum roll please........ Go ahead you know you want to  Then last week I found out about a somewhat local jeep grave yard and decided to drive down and take a look. Cherokees, Grands, Tj's you name it they had it. So I asked the yard guy, you have any Comanches and he says yea the last two rows go ahead take a look. Let me tell ya two full rows of Comanches I almost couldn't stop laughing it was awesome. Anyway I noticed a couple with the bed lights so if anyone is interested I could give them a call and see how much they want for them.
  2. So I came across a 86 Comanche in the local Pick and Pull, and was I ever surprised to find a full leather bench in the cab. Not a big fan of benches but the black leather was a nice touch. To top it off, the entire cab was done in black. Black dash, steering wheel, head liner etc..... it was great to see because I'm a little tired of all the grey dashes you see in most of the jeeps and have been contemplating changing over to black. To me it looks much sharper. Yoke
  3. I have seen on the site that guys are always looking for the stock bed light and that they are quite hard to come by. While I was at the local Pick and Pull I noticed the earlier models of the Ford Ranger had a fairly nice small compact bed light. Has anyone ever tried this as a replacement? Surely they would still be, produced by Ford or some other aftermarket company? Just a thought

    Snow!

-14 in Calgary yesterday, light snow the night before and with all the &^%*&^% drivers out there makes for a long commute to work. My 20 min communte took an hour because no one know's how to drive out here  Yoke
  5. I was wonderign what are the physical differences in the two engines? Blocks, heads, intakes, etc.... I have been able to search and find out that the heads are slightly different and the injection system is different but no mention about the block differences if there are any. Yoke
  6. Okay so just to give you guys an idea of where I'm coming from, my wife is quite particular in what is parked in the driveway and what she will get into. So it has to be pretty and have no rust with an immaculate interior. So I would like to dress up the interior abit and was wondering who has purchased a carpet kit. I've read that most use their trucks for 4x4 and just plain rip out the carpets, I on the other hand will use it as a DD or around town chore truck, which my wife will need to use once in a while. Any help in dressing up the interior would be great. Yoke
  7. Thanks for the replies guys... the previous owner had a ton of bricks this winter to maintain traction in the snow so I'm thinking of the 4x4 route and I am waiting to hear about a 4x4 cherokee real cheap ;) I'll try to get pics up. Yoke
  8. Hello all just purchased a 1988 Jeep Comanche, and very excited about getting it up to speed. Now like most, mechanical and electrical don't scare me and I have slung a wrench more than once, but body work does  . The truck is in mechanically good shape but the body does need some work and I wanted to just clarify some things I have read in this forum. 1. Jeep Comanche = MJ 2. Jeep Cherokee = XJ 3. From the doors forward XJ = MJ 4. From the doors back your on yoru own? Does anyone produce rear quater panels? Tail Gates? Preferably in Canada or the Alberta arear? Oh and last but not least 2 wheel drive to 4x4 is it worth the effort? I'd only use it in the snow as I'm not into offroading. Yoke :Canadaflag:
