  1. pretty easy one
  2. Finally was able to upload my pics from last weeks trip out to the grand rapids area. Got a tip about some junkyard MJs from dfreeman616 and stopped by to have a looksie. The MJs were pretty average for a michigan junkyard, but to my surprise the entire perimeter of the huge yard was lined with old steel (or "old rust" as the case may be). I do apologize for some of the pics, as I didn't snap them with the intention of playing a "what's that" game, but lets see who knows what. :smart: I'll paste them in individual posts so they are easier to quote. Don't be looking to me for answers. I only recognize a couple. :shake: But before the main event, here are the photos of the parts strewn about the woods. Everything I looked at back there was older than 1980. I'm going back when I have a garage to decorate. :D
  3. This guy lives up the street from my sister down in Georgia. Definitely wins the title of tallest truck in the neighborhood. :shake: There are others in the running for most redneck truck.
  4. You can post about pretty much anything you'd like in the Pub. Also, do you have any pics? :brows:
  5. You should never ever trust the internet with hard work Rick. I still type large replies in notepad or word first. Are you using Explorer or Firefox? Colorado is still beautiful though. :D
  6. No one can escape the addiction forever. These trucks are just that cool.
  7. Interesting thought. Adding the subforums into the pub. Or maybe into the wheelin' forum. Hmmm....

    Gas prices

Yup, about the same here. Saw one station at $2.30 Diesel is holding stead at $2.10. :D
  9. If you right-click on an online image, you can save the image location. Paste it here, highlight it, then click on the IMG tag right above the text box. Be aware that not every website allows this hotlinking and so it won't always work. To post your own images, see this thread:  viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11077
  10. Absolutely meet-n-greets are cool. But those can be set up in the wheelin'/meetin' forum or even the pub. We have it a bit rougher than naxja. Our membership is far smaller and/or far more spread out than other clubs. Meetings are just that much harder to arrange. My concern is that we'll have these new forums created, but no one will look at them and we'll be back where we started, but with twice as many forums on the front page. What if we started stickying any post about an upcoming event in the wheelin/meetin' and then after it's done un-stickying it? Or maybe allowing them to be posted in the pub so people will notice them?
  11. Gas might be toast. :( I would pump it out and fill with fresh before doing anything drastic. By the way, that webpage does have the proper firing order.
  12. Yeah, need more front suspension shots. I'm curious how you've worked around some of the issues I ran into.
  13. Well, we're glad to have ya. That sure is one way to make a shortbed out of a longbed. :D
  14. Done a tuneup on the 2.5 yet? Maybe it's not putting out its full potential. You might try a rebuilt fuel injector. Other guys have found improvement there. Is your cat OK? fuel filter? You can dump the mechanical fan for an electric one to free up a few ponies.
  15. I'll help ya out. Just bring that over to my house. :D
  16. You were rotating them the right way, yes? I only ask because I watched a friend struggle with a fitting yesterday. Doesn't loosen very well when you're tightening it. :D What makes it even funnier is that I asked him if he was going the right way (sarcastically, as I already knew the answer) and he snapped at me, "Yes, dang it!" and then realized his error. :clapping:
  17. Personally I don't wait for the Dana 35 to give me trouble. I've replaced every one of them thus far (except for the empty MJ in GA, and I already have a replacement for that one, it's just up here in MI). I learned my lesson after the first one blew up. :fs1: Go with an Explorer 8.8 and never look back. :D Keep in mind that running over 3 grand on the freeway isn't harmful to a Jeep inline engine.
  18. Sweetness. Needs a spacer up front though. :D
